I felt the doctor was extremely rude and she was not professional at all. I am under treatment with another doctor for something very personal and she asked several questions regarding this after I informed her it wasn't of her concern and then she made rude remarks about my doctor. I thought maybe she was having a bad day and went two more times and both times she was just as rude. I have never returned and will not ever recommend her to anyone. Rude, rude, rude.

Definitely not. They seem to care more about themselves

Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Dr. Schalau accused me of being a drug addict and never asked me how I was doing when I was in labor. I am a very health-conscious and intelligent woman, and I was treated as if I were subhuman. She also yelled at my husband and threatened my midwife. Her bias against homebirth is clear. Worst of all, she did not tell me she was stitching up my tear after I'd given birth (I couldn't feel it due to epidural), and she not only forced my legs apart, but yelled at me for trying to close them before I realized she was down there.
To her benefit, she did not immediately demand a C-section and I gave birth vaginally under her care.

Totally unprofessional, do not work with this doctor.

After getting terrible treatment here, we found that a lot of people have had terrible experiences with this practice - best to avoid this place if you value your health.

They "fired" us as clients after our midwife requested a set of records from their office. We didn't find out until we visited for a scheduled appointment, only to find that the appointment was cancelled (again, without notification from us).

Prior to that, we'd had appointments rescheduled without notice.

Far more troubling is the bias displayed, the lack of empathy or patient care, and the overall feeling that this place is far more interested in making money than providing treatment.

We made a mistake in using this doctor - there are far better in town.

Take the trouble to find someone who will explain the process, work with you, and who cares about the well-being of their patients, not sees additional care providers as a threat and competition.

Terrible.
