Dr. Covington operated on my back in June. In my follow-up visits he refused to answer my questions as he does not like to be questioned. While still under his care, he advised me in late August that he would be on vacation until early October. Although there were some serious issues with my back, he did not offer to put me under another doctors care. Less than 2 weeks later, I was enduring pain in the worst way, so I contacted the Clinic and another Dr. examined me and immediately ordered surgery in early September. When Dr. Covington returned, he took over again. In October he wanted to operate again, but the problems were showing progress and I declined. In late October, he opened our appointment telling me he was ordering an MRI so he could operate. He would not look at my back when I informed him that one of the two leakages had sealed and the other was almost sealed. He had assured me all along that when they sealed, I would 'be home free'. However he was intent on further surgery, refused to look at my back and ordered an MRI. I asked a simple question about a better quality MRI and he went ballistic, screaming in my face for longer than I wanted, then proceeded to go back to his office on the other end of the building, screaming at the top of his lungs all the way. Needless to say I have not seen him since, nor will I ever commit myself to his 'care'.

Although I have contacted the Clinic several times, they have not assigned my case to another Doctor on their staff. My Doctor in Bartlesville insists that I must be under the care of a Neurosurgeon until they release me. It has been over 6 weeks since 'the explosion', I have called several times, getting promises, but the bottom line is a seemingly uncaring staff refusing to right a wrong.

When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. There was no annoying music playing while I waited or during my visit. I appreciated that they didn't have that typical elevator music on.
Dr. Covington is very knowledgable but humble, he will admit when he doesn't feel comfortable doing a complicate procedure such as a 4 stack from S1-L3. But he did operate on my upper spine and it was a great experience. The hospital was like a 5 star hotel with quality bedroom furnishings making you feel right at home. The nurses are at your beck and call as if you were royalty. I needed xrays concerning my hip delivered quickly to Duke University, Dr. Covington took care of the xrays and sent them for me. He is a wonderful person and his staff is excellent. The best hospital ever!!!!

Absolutely not! I was never uncomfortable
