I have seen Dr. Pittman for more two years and I have moved on. The reviews you read are true. The staff and the service they provide is sub par.

A few things to consider before making your first appointment:
• My record hold time was 47 minutes. It averages 10-12
• My prescriptions were always called in incorrectly
• Every 30 days there was always an issue with a prescription. Even for an Atorvastatin, he will not write additional refills.
• The nursing / support staff is overworked and wildly inexperienced.
• You have to leave a message for everything and the likelihood of anyone calling back is very low.
• The online service and phone app is probably the worse example of how to build an online app. It is clunky, they want you to use so they don't have to call you ever. The app crashes, the data is poorly managed and not always up to date.
• Pittman is a knowledgeable doctor, but does not listen or ask questions. He likes to hear himself talk.
• There rules and warnings and fees signs everywhere, the office is cluttered and overrun.
• There is a ridiculous amount of paper work to fill out each time you go.
• The lab is small and cramped. The staff is overweight, always sick and never friendly.

Last week, I called to schedule an appointment to get some blood work done and have a follow up appointment. After waiting on hold two separate times and be disconnected, I was told they had no appointments until the end of April for what I was needing done.

I dutifully filled my scripts with Walgreens and was denied a refill of Atorvastatin and Omega-3 because I needed to schedule an appointment.

If you value your time and appreciate being treated with care and dignity, this is not the doctor you should go and see.

Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They have a late cancellation charge of $125.00, which was raised from $25.00 without any explanation. In the event you are more than 10 minutes late, they mark you as a "no show",even if you call and let them know you will be there. Then you have to make another appointment and pay the $125.00 charge before you will be seen again. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them telling them "it is office policy", instead of trying to correct the situation. If you argue with them, Dr. Pittman will dismiss you from his care. It does not matter whether you need medications, ie... Blood Pressure Medication, Anti-depressants, Heart Medication, etc. You are told to not come back and that you are no longer a patient. Dr. Pittman will not see you, nor will he talk to you about his decision. His office staff tells you that you are dismissed. Dr. Pittman cares much more about money than he does about people. That is just bad business. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. The staff was not very helpful no matter how many times I called with a question or concern. Usually you have to leave a message on an answering machine and hope someone calls you back. There were always new employees, and the staff turned over frequently. The patients were afraid to voice their opinions due to fear of being dismissed, and having to find a new Doctor. The office staff acted as if they were in fear of losing there jobs. They were not friendly, and they did not make me feel comfortable while I was in the office. The physicians would spend very little time with you, and the majority of the time they would only listen to your heart. If you had another concern you had to remind them to check it out as they were in a big rush to see the next patient. While in a patient room I could over hear what the person in the next room was talking to the Dr. about. This made it very uncomfortable as I did not wish for others to be able to hear me talking to the physician about my private personal health issues. Do not go to see Dr. Pittman or any other physician or P.A. that he employs. Dr. John Pittman oversees the entire office and he does not care about the quality of care, only quantity, so that he as owner can make more money.

I visited Dr. Pittman 2 years ago. When I went I took 2 drugs for my depression and anxiety, that kept it all in control, and 1 pain medicine because of residual pain from my breast cancer. After the first visit I had 7 prescriptions on top of my normal 3 for a multitude of illnesses. At the most he listens to my lungs at each visit and sometimes not even that. He has put me on stronger and stronger pain meds and now my body is addicted to them. I am currently weaning myself off the medicine and I seem to be doing okay. Every time I go see him, which is monthly due to the meds he has me on, there was always a new diagnosis that required even more drugs. At 50 years old he diagnosed me with ADD and put me on speed. Long story short, I began having all kinds of negative side effects, from falling asleep at work or driving to having tremors so bad I couldn't write. I ended up having a complete breakdown. I was speaking to people who weren't there, I didn't make sense when I spoke to my husband or kids. It was horrible and frightening. My job sent me on a leave in order to get my health together and thank God for my wonderful husband who stood by me until we figured out what was going on. I found a psychiatrist and she took one look at my drug list and freaked out at the multitude of meds he had me on. Uppers, downers, mood stabelizers, speed, the list goes on and on. He had put me on an anti psychotic that the shrink said I should never been on and since I didn't know what it was, I had stopped taking it without telling him and it caused me to have a psychotic break. I am about 6 weeks out after working with the shrink to get off some of these meds and to find the correct medicine and dosage I need. He is a horrible dr. that cares less about his patients and more about his kick back from the drug reps. Before I knew any of this I sent my daughter to see him for headaches and he gave her a narcotic script. She asked if they couldn't start with something that wasn't addicting first instead of jumping to an addicting drug right away. Same thing with a friend of mine, she went to see him about her tonsils and came out with 7 scripts, none regarding her tonsils. He sees his patients every month because he writes them all scripts that require hard copies in order to fill them. Don't trust him with your health. Find another Dr. I wish I would have read all these negative comments before I went and then I wouldn't have gone through all this breakdown. Just say no when it comes to him, he's just a legalized drug dealer, unless that's what you're wanting. One more thing. 2 months ago he called my house and told my husband that he was very concerned about my heart and that I was dangerously close to having a heart attack or a stroke. No reason was given and there was certainly no info. on what I should do. He never called back or asked me to call him about this. I have seen him 2 times since then and he has never mentioned it to me at all. Shouldn't that be pretty important to my primary doctor? You bet it should. Just stay away. He's not who he appears to be.
