Is a very decent man. I had him as a psychiatrist in the 1980's, he got me through college and did a very good job of finding a new psychiatrist for adults when I turned 25. I highly recommend him.

I have seen this doctor for years. He barely looks at you. You pay a lot of money for his 5-10 min. discussion. I am in need of a refill for medicine proscribed by him and the Pharmacy has faxed him requests for 5 days. The answering service is of no help what so ever and, rude, and apparently the secretary is on vacation. I have been unable to talk to him as the answering service cannot allow you to do so. Over the years, I have waited for HOURS to see him. One time I was there for an hour and the doctor hadn't even shown up yet. I am done with this dr. I am now going to go to the ER to at least get some meds to tide me over until this Dr. gets around to calling in a scrip. Find someone who cares!

This doctor should not be practicing!!! Only visited my family member for about 20 seconds the first time and immediately prescribed a bunch of unnecessary drugs just so he's a zombie like all the other patients in the unit without even examining them. Next visit, basically walks in and asks "hows it going" and before my family member could even respond he's walking back out the door. He doesn't give a crap how they are doing, he doesn't care if they are getting better, he doesn't care what is wrong with you..he is just there to DRUG you into submission. I have never seen anything like this in my life. Its like something you see from some 1960's horror movie. Some of the nurses are ok, but they don't seem to know much and they don't make any of the decision..this ONE doctor does and who knows how many other thousand of patients he has on one day.

Dr Adler saw my mother at Flower Hospital in the geriatric psyc unit. Instead of addressing her medication problems he doubled the dose of a med the family and nursing home knew was no longer working for her!
In less than a week, with no new medication, he was ready to discharge her because she "was not a danger to herself or others," completely ignoring her crippling paranoia that gave her no quality of life. When he did change her medication, with the urging of staff and the social worker, he gave her another medication she had been on for 11 days that wasn't working! Now he said she was probably at a "new base level!"
I seriously doubt that he would accept the "services" he provided for his own mother or accept extreme, crippling paranoia as her "new base level" when only 2 medications, both of which had previously not worked, were the only things tried!
I'm a registered nurse and don't have any medical degrees but I do know there are other medication options available and fail to understand a physician who refused to talk to family (the staff said he never does!) and preferred to leave his patient in mental pain and anguish rather than keep her longer and try to improve her quality of life!
Run away from this one! He's all that's bad about the medical system: uncaring, unhelpful and more concerned with reimbursement than the health of his patients.

This doctor should have had his license revoked years ago! My daughter waited multiple times for more than an hour, just to have him call into the office and not even make it to her appointment! Then; refusing to refill her prescriptions because my daughter refused to pay for the sessions, that he never even showed up to!!!!
Ethical? Doubtful, and extremely rude; especially when you are working with people that have mental and emotional issues.
In my opinion he is an erudite, pompous ego-maniac,
I have spoken with numerous people who have had similiar experiences with this "Dr". I honestly believe he has done more harm than good for my daughter.
