I love Dr Shiflett. I've been seeing psychs for over 20 years, and he is the most caring and compassionate psych I've ever seen. I can't imagine how anyone else could have such an opposite experience. He's a lifesaver for me. His staff, his nurse, and he are all very caring and friendly. His nurse returns phone calls right away. I've even gone from one practice to another when he changed, and everybody else I know who sees him, feels the same way.

Through my encounters with this office, it became evident that Dr. Shiflett is not a caring or thoughtful psychiatrist. I have never known a physician who was more rigid and even hateful, let alone a psychiatrist who should naturally possess compassion. I am relieved to have figured out that this doctor is absolutely the wrong doctor for me. In terms of my health care and well being, I would prefer to have caregivers who actually care. If all you need is somebody to write a prescription for you, then he may be the right person. If you are looking for a kind and caring physician, it is probably best to look elsewhere.

I would recommend him to people I know if I couldn't think of anyone better to suggest. I'm not always sure that he's going to work with me until they find a solution, and sometimes it seems like they're going to give up on trying to help me. I don't feel like I can always count on them. I have waited at times, but not too long in the waiting room. I've had to wait longer at other places. He isn't the worst psychiatrist I've ever seen, but he definitely wasn't the best. I am not sure I was getting his best care that he could have provided. I always felt rushed, and ultimately, he didn't seem to listen or really understand me.
