I had great office experiences with this group but when i went in for an induction i had a totally different dr than who i saw at the office. The dr at delivery argued with me over my choices of when to get my epidural. I was induced with cervadil and had a very bad reaction that cause me alot of pain. Im an rn...i didnt appreciate being argued with when my birth plan had been agreed with and there was no increased risk to myself or the baby. The nurse who attended me was great and also said she didnt understand the problem. She said any other dr would have been supportive. She said this dr was "old school". I believe this dr just wanted to rush me along so she could leave faster....she kept checking her watch and mentioned a prior engagment. This is my only child and i am older. The more i think about this whole thing the angrier i am about it. I am blessed with a healthy child. But what should have been a wonderful experience was made very stressful by a dr who did not want to honor my choices. As i said i am an experienced rn...there was no medical contraindication to my choices. It just wasn't her way of doing things. She even tried to scare/intimidate me out of an epidural...saying i would have to have a c-section if i got one. If i had not demanded one i would not have gotten one. Btw absolutley no c section. Within 20-30!minutes of my epidural i delivered a beautiful baby. The other dr at the office get 5 blazing stars from me and the staff. But if i EVER have anymore kids i would never let this dr deliver me again. I would however go back there because the other dr's were great.
