Wait time was great and the office seemed fine. But as soon as I saw Dr. Gatto he seemed very put out and said he didn't see regular patients only consults. When I tried to explain to him my condition and what I needed he got flustered. When he looked at my prescriptions he said he didn't know what fonsinopril / monopril was. I told him it was part of the standard of care and I'd been on it for 5 years. He says "slow down" and that the standard of care says I should be on an ACE inhibitor. I said, "It is an ACE inhibitor." He didn't know that nor did he bother to look up the drug. He said, "Well, I don't know what that is so I'm going to prescribe you this other (expensive) drug." I say, "No, I think I want to stay on the fosinopril." The guy looked like no one had ever said no to him in his life. "WHAT?" he asks. "No, I want to stay on the fosinopril." And he refused to write a prescription for it, so I said, "Okay, we're done here." If you're on fosinopril, don't see this guy. If you aren't, I'd avoid him anyway, because he's clearly an arrogant type.
