Great communicator. He doesn’t just sit there listening and take notes or give off a judge mental vibe like many others do.

This "doctor" needed a good psychiatrist. He spent every session dominating the conversation, discussing lawsuits against him, his illegitimate children, his relationships, his former employers and how he became a "former," and even admitted that he was being sued for sexual harassment, and had lost practice privileges. My needs were not addressed. He dismissed me as a patient by mail without referral, notice, or explanation. I suspected he lost his license or was imprisoned.

They almost always cancel my appointment last minute, and I end up having to rearrange my entire schedule. I really wish they were more reliable. I definitely don't trust their advice. They're only concerned about themselves. They definitely weren't easy to reach in an emergency. I had to call several times before someone finally picked up. This "doctor" is BAD NEWS. He seemed more interested in talking about his personal family problems than mine. Finally, he terminated our association without EVER discussing the reasons. Something seems amiss re: his employment history.

I saw Dr. King a few years back when he was in a private practice. I appreciated his insight and even more appreciated that he was open to my interpretations. I am way too much inside my head. When he transferred to another practice it was insainly hard, please forgive the pun, to get an appointment with him. But years latter I hold on to things he told me for strength. I googled him to try and see where he is practicing now, since I moved away, and am astonished to see the bad reviews. Yes I did notice he talks more than you do so I found it best to lay all my cards on the table as soon as I walked in. This allowed him to give me helpful insight ans advice for the rest of the appointment. As for him talking of his personal life, I found that an excellent way for him to relate to me and made his advice more credible. I only wish that he was practicing in the area I live in now. Was he unconventional, YES but in the good way. He is the only psychiatrist that was able to help me through talking. My first appointment with homemade me feel like a weight had been lifted off of me. His leaving the good practice with, I confess BAD admin staff was regrettable but his skills are none the less great. Different technics work for different people and his helped me while it was accessible and still to a lesser degree now.
