I had bilateral hip replacements ten years ago. I have not had any problems from the surgery. I highly recommend this surgeon. Great follow up.

Dr. Guevara performed A hip replacement and a revision to my other hip replacement. He is an excellent Surgeon and I had excellent results. He is very particular that his patients receive the best care. One of the finest doctors I have ever met. Excellent Staff.

I've had both knees replaced by Dr. Guevara, a year apart. After my initial research, I discovered he is considered one of the top knee surgeons in the entire country. When President Clinton tore up his knee, Dr. Guevara was flown to Florida to diagnose and repair it. They had their choice of the best, and choose him.
His staff is the most professional, prompt and caring group, and any patient should be thankful to have them take care of them. He's proven to be a five star Doctor, with patients coming from all over the east coast to seek his services.

I am a 38 year old male with a knee problem, torn meniscus to be exact. That is what I suspected since I had one in my other knee approx 17 years ago. I have 2 issues here, one was waiting over an hour to see him, I understand Dr.'s are busy but I was in his office over 2 hours and was seen by him all of 15 minutes. My second issue was the fact I was there to see him about my knee, he spent about 5 minutes on my knee and the rest of the time about smoking. I understand as Dr.'s its their job to inform me about the dangers of smoking (like I didn't know that) but it was his "preachy" and creepy manner that he went about it. By the way, smoking is what killed my mother so I am well aware of the dangers. When I had my last knee surgery I was given an MRI prior to but that was not the case here. Its a go in and see what they find scenario, that kind of makes me feel as though he might be surgery happy. I will be seeking a second opinion and NOT returning to him. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth!

Dr. Guevara did my surgery in April 2011 and he could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on prosthetic hips and complications from all metal on metal hips. One thing that I didn't appreciate is that I had to go to the ER on a non-holiday Monday because his office was closed for the week without notifying patients. The office was located in a safe neighborhood - near the hospital. It was easy to get appointment times that worked for my schedule. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible he was I never would have gone. He had a pleasant, easy-going personality, that quickly turned defensive and angry when complications developed. This seemed to greatly affect his ability to properly identity the problem. Had to seek out another surgeon for second opinion, treatment and additional surgery.
