I am a patient here at Robinhood and I can only say great things about everyone that I have came in contact with. My NP, Kelly is awesome and I have been seeing her for almost 3 years or more. The atmosphere when you walk in to the office is very positive and the staff from the front desk to MOA, lab and the providers are always willing to help. I was introduced to RIH by Dr.Christopher Nagy. He looks at treating the underlying problem instead of giving medication after medication. He suggested them to me due to hypothyroidism and they gave me Armour instead of Synthroid. My husband started going as well and he feels amazing now. He is 61 and says he feels like a new person. I know some reviews have negative comments but I will say that they are on the cutting edge of a "new approach" to treating patients that isn't really NEW. It is just that mainstream doctors are so use to treating very thing with medications instead of supplements or putting them on the "American diet" it is killing people. I suggest that everyone be there own cheerleader in their health care! I am a nurse for 38 years and some patients are on so much medication that is not needed. The Medical field is forever changing but some practices just get into a rut. Sorry for those who are not aware of this Practice.
Crazy horrific mix of some competent and some totally not competent practitioners. Got tired of the portal...the lab tests...and the missed obvious diagnosis! I went completely deaf in my left ear and they couldn’t have cared less. Talked to another patient with Lyme spending thousands with no results. Run. Fast. Far.
was told about this place and about Dr. Elizabeth Bozeman by a friend. When I first went here in 2013 BCBS covered my visits and most labs. Two years later my insurance changed to united healthcare and they cover nothing. They knock the costs of the labs down. From the initial visit Dr. Bozeman was caring and also tried to help me save money on labs and supplements. She knew I bought some things online and she was fine with that. She even worked in conjunction with my Cherokee medicine man for my treatment. Since seeing her my hormones are now normal, I lost a lot of weight, my migraines have dropped to one per month down from two per week. She found I have Hashimotos and I’m getting treatment now for that. She knows there isn’t a one size fits all approach. She has helped me heal leaky gut, address my MTHFR gene mutation and other issues. With her help I was able to see what foods I cannot tolerate and I do not eat them. My pain has lessened and I follow a modified AIP diet. She is very open to suggestions for your own treatment and has ordered tests I was curious about and always tells me the cost of the lab or the technician tells me if they can before hand. I’m very grateful for Dr. Bozeman and I’ve come a long way with her help.
They FLUNK big time. I'm an RN. I was feeling so terrible, I called for an appinmtnet. I was given an appointment for the following day, but I got a Nurse Practicioners who was running late. She took a long detailed history without showing any emotion, then did a brief physical. She gave me No support, information, encouragement or answers. She walks me to the lab where they drew 4 vials of blood for tests. I was later shocked with a $400 lab bill that my insurance does not pay, and she did not tell me. So I called in only to find that I was to "return in 3- 4 weeks." Given that I am not normally ill, and rarely go to the doctor, I was looking for HELP, answers, something! I called them, and asked to see someone else and was told once you are assigned to a practitioner, you can only see them. I was also told I could not get my lab results unless I came in for a face to face with the Practicioner After much trying, and an email communication with Dr Lantelme, who was also brisk and rude, who make me promise I was Not coming back, I got them to send the results to my previous doctor in Asheville at Our Family Doctor. Then sick as I was, I had to drive 3 hours to see Dr Ananda to get the results and help. I called RIH multiple times, went on the portal. I found their front desk employees to be consistently rude, and brisk. ( My other doctors always ask if I want to get labs that are not covered by insurance) RIH didn't even explain what labs she was getting, why or when I could get results, or how. Now I am getting emails from them too. I've had to drive to ASheville now a few times, to get the medication and treatment I needed.
I had high hopes when going to this facility. Unfortunately, all that happened was I spend a wheel barrel full of money and ended up at other doctors offices and the ER with "bad reactions" to medications they prescribed that I did not need and supplements. I was being treated for an under active thyroid which an endocrinologist (I went there to get myself straightened out from their mistakes) said I did not have. They will shove all kinds of supplements at you convincing you that you need them all. Oh yes, the expensive allergy testing that insurance does not cover - I fell for this as well. Stay away from this quack office - you'll be glad you did. (I have been told they diagnosis almost everybody with the same thing.) My daughter was caught up in this mess as well.
I'm switching doctors. Dr. Lantelme is always trying "cutting edge" treatments that either a) completely disrupt your life (e.g. food allergy diagnoses) or b) require that you buy some snake oil treatment only available from his office. I agree with the comment about prescribing the same treatment to everyone: all of the staff at the desk had both of the above "diagnoses" as I did. The last straw for me was when the person making my appointment refused to schedule me for a routine blood draw until I could get tested for hormone replacement therapy--evidently the treatment du jour ... but for someone pre-menopausal by over a a decade?! What business does the front desk have telling a stranger she needs such a test? Communication with this office is also a pain. They want you to sign up for an e-mail service that costs over $60/year. Hardly worth it when you visit only once or twice!
Highly recommend Dr. Lantelme. His care has been exactly what I needed for all of my autoimmune diseases and problems that other MD's dismissed as not related to autoimmune.
I called to make an appointment with one of the doctors. I was looking for competent MD who was interested in wellness for their patients. When I called, the receptionist, Marty, gave me the third degree. I had to tell her the meds I was on and give her my history. I'm sorry, but what makes a receptionist competent and reliable in sharing personal information with a physician? She finally called me back, two days later (!) to tell me that she shared what meds I take with Dr. Lantelme and he told her they couldn't see me? I understand they may have many patients and the waiting list is long, but isn't this their business, to treat and help patients? I do NOT recommend bothering calling this clinic!!
