My husband I were patients of his for 2 years, until today! I'd had my knee replaced and was in the surgeon's office when I was told that I needed an updated referral, and the receptionist handed me a phone number to call. I went back to my seat and dialed the number and Dr. Hodyl answered the call. I started to explain to him what was going on and he interrupted me mid-sentence yelling about how this phone number was for DOCTORS and emergencies only ( guess the receptionist gave me an "off limits to patients" phone number. Then he asked me "Can I DO a referral right now? NO I can't!!! Call the office tomorrow and handle it then!" and with that he hung up on me.

I can understand his frustration in that, obviously, I am NOT a doctor and this was NOT an emergency, but he never even gave me an opportunity to explain that the number was given to me........or to apologize!

I found his behavior rude, childlike and unprofessional! I am NOT a three year old who got caught with her hands in the cookie jar! My husband and I will be looking for a new primary care physician IMMEDIATELY!

Is this business in a safe neighborhood?
No way!! Be aware it is very unsafe and I was scared
Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
Yes! He/she took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.
