Doctor Katz's credentials suggest he's a respected surgeon, but if you're in for a simple eye exam, I got the impression I was there to pay his bills. Maybe he was just having a bad day. His office strongly suggests you purchase 6months supply of contact lens @$120 (out of pocket) from them "because the doctor feels responsible for his Rx and about follow-up". I noted that I can purchase this same brand lens at Costco for (6mo. @$55.00). The doctor & staff were noticeably un-amused. Sad to say, but I left with the impression that Dr. Katz NOW felt much less about his Rx responsibility and follow-up than before. Otherwise, an older office, with older equipment in beautiful Westfield, NJ.
