Gupta was our second neurologist. The neurologist before Gupta diagnosed my father with Alzheimer's disease when he actually had corticobasal degeneration. Gupta did whatever the previous neurologist did, including keeping my father on three horrible drugs - this mixture drugs could have killed my father with the nightmarish side effects. Namenda was the worst of the three, by far! I sat in Gupta's office as she told my mother to "double up on the meds" if my father gets worse or "acts up." After this disastrous visit to Gupta, I had had enough of her quackery and we took my father to Jefferson in Philadelphia for an accurate diagnosis. Once the neurologist at Jefferson took my dad off of every drug that Gupta had been prescribing my father improved a great deal. Gupta is nice, but seems way out of the loop of modern medicine.
