I can not tell you how rude she was. my appointment time was 4:30 was not called back till after 5:10 and not seen till 5:45. Being as I have had 2 prior pregnancies both high risk, the first endangered my life and I was forced to abort my pregnancy, after having a seizure. the second was spontaneous abortion which means for unknown reasons my fetus stopped growing and had no heartbeat. this is my third pregnancy and maybe the only successful chance I have. I was released from the hospital 2 weeks prior to my visit with her and was diagnosed with hyper emisis gravidrum I was unable to keep food down and in danger of a heart attack until potassium and fluids were replenished in my system. the Dr. put me on zofran to control my vomiting and when I seen her she scared me about taking it. saying that I do not need it but did not ease my concerns about losing more weight with out it. my pre pregnancy weight was 147 admitted into the hospital at 117 and seen her at 121. while in the hospital i needed 3 units of insulin per day, only after dinner, the rest of the time my blood sugar was fine. i tried to address this concern with her but got no where, she told me if i needed insulin in the hospital that i am a diabetic, but the Dr at the hospital was hesitant to diagnose me with it
he told me to consult my ob gyn unfortunately for me it was dr goodhead. after she told me that i was infact diabetic, worried about the health of my twins I asked her if I should get a meter she said in front of other staff, the woman making the appointments, the woman taking the pee my fiancé and so close to the waiting room i am sure others heard her "you cant afford it, you have no money thats how you are on medic aide right" this was very hurtful as you can get one for free on craigslist and because her concern should be like mine and about my unborn twins not my pocket book. my fiancée was so fed up and dissatisfied he had to leave. as i was trying to pry more information out of her she turned her back and walked away while i was talking to her. again all of this was witnessed by staff. also I heard staff talking about another womans afp test which is highly inappropriate. and at last i ask you do you know of any diabetics that do not need a meter I dont
