Dr Anne Kristensen's staff is the WORST. I went in today and was told by the front desk that they didn't take my PPO insurance any more.

I had booked the appointment months earlier and was never told of any changes, yet the girl at the desk said "you have new insurance"? I have Aetna PPO and pay over $640 per month on excellent health insurance.

I called Aetna while in their office and was told that the doctor did take my insurance. The rude receptionist proceeded to tell me they didn't and then refused to talk to Aetna on the phone. I then asked to be seen by paying cash or go through out of network benefits. She got up and walked away. I then asked for a list of insurances they did accept from another employee who was much more compassionate, but
she said they didn't have a list.

This office in the past has shown little concern to your needs even when there isn't a problem. I'm now faced with finding a new doctor and waiting another 90 days to been seen for health issues.
I would stay clear of this doctor no matter what insurance you have. i would also suggest Dr. Kristensen invest in mature, helpful staff. Its a reflection on her care!!!

WORST STAFF IN 5 STATES IN WHICH I HAVE RESIDED! THE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND RUDE,TO BE POLITE! MELISSA PLAYS DOCTOR, EVEN CALLING IN ANTIBIOTICS FOR ME WITHOUT A VISIT FOR THE DOCTOR TO KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! MELISSA IS NOT AND I MEAN NOT A DOCTOR!
Dr. Kristensen is a wonderful physician. However, her staff has no compassion for sick patients. I have been ill since January 7th, 2015 with a pulmonary problem and in the hospital twice for the same problem. Dr. Kristensen sent me to Pulmonary Associates (Dr. Lampert) who did nothing and answered no questions. He ordered a pulmonary function test and a repeat Cat Scan without contrast in 3 months. So I will not see him for 3 months. He had a Cat Scan with contrast from the hospital and xrays and labs, etc. I called Dr. Kristensen after my appointment with Dr. Lampert and Melissa told me I could only see another pulmonologist at Pulmonary Associates. I asked about a referral to see Dr. Willoughby, the overflow physician, for Healthcare Partners and Melissa said that was not possible.

Now, I have been ill for another month or so with the same issues, so I called Dr. Kristensen (my PCP) this morning and Melissa stated I had to wait until June 23rd, 2015 for an appointment to discuss and out of network pulmonary referral. When I explained how ill I was,Melisa stated she could squeeze me in on June 10th. Today is May 22, 2015. I could be dead by June 10th. I asked to speak to Dr. Kristensen and Melissa stated my PCP never talks to patients on the telephone. I told her this is untrue because Dr. Kristensen called me last time and fit me in the next morning at 8:30 am. She also called several times regarding my husband's care for his heart. Melissa hung up on me.

After I put in a complaint with Humana and my case worker, Erica, Melissa told Dr. Kristensen, per Erica, I was rude to her and began discharge papers. I never asked her to do this, and Melissa should not treat ill patients in this manner. I was not rude, I did not cuss, and I did not raise my voice to Melissa. I simply asked for a call back from my PCP, Dr. Kristensen.

Now I am short of breath and I had to take a valium to stop crying because I cannot get a call back from my PCP, Dr. Kristensen. I don't know if Dr. Kristensen even knows I requested a call back.

It is so sad, in this country, that we can only afford these HMOs on social security and we are unable to get the care we need. Melissa told me I have 2 nodules on my lungs, which I was told by a hospitalist were only spots, and now I am worried that I may have lung cancer. I do not think Melissa should have contradicted a hospitalist when talking to me on the telephone. Oh well, another HMO Humana patient will bite the dust - just a number, not a person in this physicians office and Dr. Lampert''s office.
