I wasn't too impressed with their staff. They were decent, but they weren't very friendly or welcoming. Their office was clean enough, but it was still a little too dirty. They should have looked into my medical background before they recommended a treatment plan. They didn't know or care about it at all. I would never recommend them to anyone. They made my situation even worse. I was severely over-medicated, and didn't feel that my opinion was being regarded at all. I hope no one else has to go through what I did.
Dr. Dunlap is an experienced and old-school psychiatrist. I found his treatments to be cautious and conservative. He advocated less medication is better for me and encouraged many visits (not an inappropriate amount) to help me get through a medication change due to a prior psychiatrist's misdiagnosis. Within 2 weeks I was back in top form. Thanks, Dr. Dunlap!
Dunlap really needs to retire. He has the tendency to offend many patients, including my spouse with extremely offensive comments during evaluation and consultation sessions. He has on many occasion criticized my spouse's weight by very cynical questions. (including asking her "What a carrot is?" many times , or a similar strife off question of that nature.) Other than that, he would be on ok doctor, if you can handle his cynicism and very religious based comments during sessions.
