I thought this was the best experience I've ever had, as did my husband. The Dr. made sure every single question we had was answered. The staff is very welcoming and they all have a great sense of humor, which I find comforting. They are caring and professional, and I felt they understood my needs and concerns which made the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the total level of care and professional environment. I will be recommending this office to everyone I know!

I usually dread the dentist, but Dr. Braithwaite was so gentle and his staff was amazing. The office was very clean and up to date..and I knew I was getting quality care. I was so impressed, have referred many of my friends. The office was very easy to find...right next to Starbucks on Rd. 68.

The toothpaste they used during my cleaning tasted great. It made the experience that much better. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the level of detail and attention to make the building handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs.

I went to this dentistry simply because they were nearby and one of the few that did not takeoff for two weeks during the Christmas & New Years holiday season.

My experience with them left me with concerns of:
1. Possible insurance & customer fraud
2. They recommended unnecessary treatments/procedures
3. They charged twice the average rate for their treatments/procedures

I went to this dentist for an annual exam and teeth cleaning. Upon my arrival I felt uncomfortable because they spent too much time confirming my insurance and asking questions about it.

The exam and x-rays cost $240. First a dental hygienist examined my gums and reported that she could insert the dental pick probe 5-to-6 mm below my gum-line in several places. She diagnosed that I had periodontal gum disease. Then the dentist examined me and confirmed her diagnosis, that he too could insert the probe sometimes 6mm below my gum-line. They recommended a deep cleaning below the gum-line for which they would charge $836 plus another $1099 for a crown.

These fees would have maxed-out my insurance limits for both 2010 and 2011 and left me with a residual out-of-pocket bill of $935.

After the exam I felt skeptical since at home I was not able to insert a probe 6 mm below my gum-line. Nor did I show any evidence of gum disease such as bleeding gums (white tooth paste turns pink or red after brushing). So I canceled my follow-up appointment and schedule a "second opinion" exam with a 1-800-dentist recommended doctor. I had West Pasco Family Dental (WPFD) transfer my x-rays to the new dentist's office.

My exam and teeth cleaning at the recommended 1-800-dentist's office went well. The new dentist first had to take new x-rays (since he stated that the West Pasco Family Dental (WPFD) x-rays were useless). fortunately, he took these for free. He also stated that I did not have gun disease and that I was wise to seek out a second opinion. He also charged less than 1/2 of WPFD's fee for the dental crown.
