Please take your children somewhere else. They will waaay overcharge you, and if you don't like it, they will tell you that there is no other option and that you are more than welcome to go somewhere else. I took my 3 three year old there and had his fillings done about a year ago. They used Nitrous gas and he did fine. We went back a couple of weeks ago, and he needs to have a couple of small fillings done in the back this time. Doctor Allinder said that he wanted to use "general anesthesia" to do the work. We met with Hannah in the front office, and she informed us that not only would we have to pay for the work when we make the appointment, but that we would also have to put down a $250 retainer just in case it costs more than he estimated. I wasn’t happy, but went along anyway. The anesthesiologist that the office uses is not a preferred provider for us, so our medical insurance would not cover any part of the cost. I called and left a message for Hannah after I was told it would cost at least $1700 to do the two small cavities. I said that we could not do the general anesthesia and needed to explore other options, possibly using a "kiddie cocktail" or something less expensive. I waited 4 days and then called Hannah again. She informed me that Dr. Allinder said that was the only option that he would consider. I asked to speak with Dr. Allinder, and I was told “He doesn’t take phone calls.” I was told that there was no way that I could speak with Dr. Allinder regarding my son’s treatment plan because he works hard all day and that he doesn’t want to waste time on the phone. I found a different dentist.
I only wish there where dentists available to me such as Dr. Allinder and his team when I was a child. Taking my children there has been so smooth and easy now if only I could find myself a dentist like that!
They were very sympathetic to my situation, and made me feel cared for. I knew that I could count on them at all times. They were so nice and professional and even called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment. The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for. I was worried that they were going to wear an obnoxious cologne, because I've dealt with that at other places, but they didn't even wear cologne. It was fantastic to be able to breathe freely the entire time. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered.
