I selected this dentist as my provider, and then called for an appointment because I had a bad toothache. I spoke to the dentist personally—he answered the phone!—and he started making an appointment. But then he stopped abruptly and said I should call back in the am and speak to his secretary. When I called in the morning, the secretary said I had to wait a month before making an appointment because I wasn’t “on her roster” yet. Instead of automatically having new patients available for treatment, Dr. Choi demands that they wait a month until the insurance company sends them a roster of new patients. I said I was in a lot of pain, but she would not make an exception. So I waited a month and called back. The dentist picked up again and, again started making an appointment for me. I had a date and time. But once again he stopped abruptly and the secretary began shouting at him in Korean. He said that he’d call me back at 2:00. He did not call back, so I called them at 2:45. I was told they didn’t have the new roster yet. I reiterated that I’d been waiting for a month and the pain had increased. She said that I could call the insurance company for an emergency authorization code. Why she didn’t tell me about this code a month earlier, I don’t know. So I called the insurance company and got the code. They told me that they had sent the roster to the provider weeks before and that my name was on it. This is when things got really weird. I called Dr. Choi and gave the emergency code to the secretary, but she told me that this was a fake code. She said that the insurance company was “deceiving me.” She said that she’d spoken to them herself and they’d been rude and hung up on them. She wasn’t making much sense. I called the insurance company back and they said that they had called Dr. Choi to see why they weren’t allowing me to make an appointment, since I was on the roster. They offered to send her a fax of the new roster with my name on it. She refused to accept the fax. The secretary had verbally abused them and hung up, after acting irrational and strange. I said that I wanted to file a complaint about Dr. Choi and his practice. The insurance company politely and professionally helped me file the complaint and said that they had already made a complaint themselves. I’m not sure why Dr. Choi and his secretary refused to see me. The most likely explanation is that this was a case of racial injustice. They only want Asian patients. Either that, or both the dentist and his secretary suffer from mental health issues. They acted unprofessionally and unethically. Their behavior was especially bad considering the fact that I repeatedly explained how much pain I was in. By the way, the photos on his website are fake. They do not show the people who really work there, but are stock images. Even the page titled “Meet Dr. Choi” features pictures of people who are not him. Very strange and a little creepy. There are so many red flags with this provider.

Dr. Mark Choi is wonderful. I regularly went to him for more than 7 years. He is very professional and easy to approach. Every time I went to the office, my wait time was less than 10 minutes. (I normally get to places 15 minutes early). I am generally terrified of hospital and dental visits but Dr. Choi makes my trip feel much better. I also never had any trouble with office management either. Anyone who wants a friendly and dependable dentist should go see Dr. Choi. I highly recommend Dr. Choi!

I took my daughters and they did mixed up schedule and barely gave me any information at all. later I want to go another dentist and ask my daughters documents she first start copy few pages later came back and ask me $ 25 per child total $ 50 otherwise she would not give me the previous records.Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. They didn't help me at all. Never recommend this dentist
