Dr. Hoovers' office was by far one of the best I've ever seen and I highly recommend her. It was obvious Dr. Hoover and her staff have been exceeding their patient's expectations for many years. They were so kind and attentive to me and my elderly mother. When I arrived with my mom for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. They provided an absolutely wonderful experience which is not often the case with dental offices. After my cleaning by the Hygienist I met with Dr. Hoover for my exam and treatment. I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left especially given I had severe tooth pain in 2 teeth upon arrival. I scheduled an appointment for my 75 year old mother who is looking forward to returning. I highly recommend Dr. Hoover and her staff.

Traumatizing, terrible experience

The only reason I rated Dr. Hoover one star is because I could not publish this review without rating her. Otherwise, she would have gotten zero stars from me.
I live in the neighborhood where Dr. Hoover's office is located. Her office is convenient and beautiful. The front office staff is friendly. I had no reason to doubt Dr. Hoover. She appeared knowledgeable and confident.
My horrible ordeal with Dr. Hoover's office began about a year ago. She told me I had multiple cavities. I believed her and made an appointment to begin the process of filling cavities. Well, each time I returned to the office, she found more work to be done, all of which required a lot of money. She told me I needed a root canal.
At this point, I still believed her and continued going in for the dental work. At each appointment, I was in the chair for 3 to 4 hours. Unbelievable! Each ordeal was traumatizing. At one point, they dropped something in my mouth and I had to sit up quickly so not to choke.
I thought this was just me and I was upset that I needed so much dental work. Not to mention all the money I was spending. I was confused because I brush and floss regularly.
Well, since then, I have talked to at least five people in my neighborhood who have gone to Dr. Hoover. ALL have been told that they needed multiple cavities filled AND root canals! . A couple of these people have gone for second opinions and these second opinions have NOT found the cavities or need for root canals.
It is way more than a coincidence that everybody I have spoken with has needed so much dental work, including root canals.
In my opinion, this is criminal. She is stealing money by doing unneccessary work. A very traumatizing experience.
No wonder she has a beautiful office. $$$$
