I'm shocked this quack has 4 stars!!!
I've been to physicians/dentists before that I wasn't particularly happy with but none has ever compelled me to write a review. This is my first time and I'm not writing to bash him, rather to warn others.
My husband went to him with a toothache. He told him he needed a root canal. He also informed him he had periodontal disease. This put up a red flag for me because I wondered why this had never been addressed before.
I questioned my husband to get a second opinion but he really like Dr Patel, as far as his personality & mannerism, so he trusted him.
He left the office with pain meds & antibiotics and was scheduled to return for a deep cleaning concerning the "periodontal disease" that ultimately billed our insurance over $700 !!! In the meantime, he takes the antibiotics, but to no avail. His tooth is still hurting. He contacts the office, they call in more antibiotics and when my husband goes to the pharmacy to get them...it's penicillin, to which he is fatally allergic!!! They call the office and he writes yet another script for the same antibiotic he was prescribed originally took that didn't work!!! By this time, it's been nearly 2 weeks...my husband had already had the deep cleaning done...still having to go to work every day with a tooth thats hurting nonstop.
I can vouch for all the reviews that yes, the office was clean, the staff is friendly & blah blah blah!!!!! But ultimately, when it comes down to it, all that stuff doesn't even matter...what matters is, is the person whos working on your mouth a professional or a quack???
Because Dr Patel "seemed" knowledgeable & was very nice...my husband was hard to convince to go elsewhere...however I finally did convince him & he learned from a second opinion that he DOES NOT have periodontal disease!!! He wasn't even able to get a root canal on the said tooth because it's broken at the gum line!! This information came from, not only a trusted dentist he now sees, but an oral surgeon.
I'm furious at costs that were racked up from Patels office & very much plan on reporting it to our insurance.
We, as everyone else, go to dentists and we don't have a clue what our treatment should be. All we can do is trust what we're told. It's sad that in some cases we can't trust some to give sound advice and treatment.
I'm so glad my husband is going to another dentist. Patel had him scheduled for literal thousands of dollars for root canals on 2 teeth that are not even workable anymore. They are being cut out next week. He had him scheduled for several implants, which we learned can simply be bridged!!! As well as "deep cleaning" every 6 months for periodontal disease that he doesn't even have.
I read reviews when available. I had a horrible gut feeling about Patel to start with and my husband thought I was just being paranoid. I came here and read the reviews and tried to even convince myself that by what I read, he must be ok. Still the gut feeling was there.
I'm not one to bash anybody. It's not my intention. I am simply warning people by giving our personal experience.

I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. I love when I leave the dentist and I'm able to feel how much cleaner my mouth is, and I definitely felt that after my appointment here. They have really great customer service here. They always put their customers first, regardless of the situation. I would definitely recommend them to my loved ones. I was so happy with their services.
