I have had several poor experiences at this oral surgeon. Last year, they did a root canal for about $2,000 where the tooth broke below the gum line (in the root) before I was even able to get it crowned. I had to have the tooth pulled. I think the tooth, which was cracked to begin with was a poor candidate for the root canal and it would have been better if they had recommended against it, but they preferred to take the money and run. Second, I have several teeth this year that have to have very old root canals done (I grind my teeth in my sleep). The charged me a $185 consultation fee, explained what they would do (about $5,000 of work) and sent me home with some antibiotics to take first. I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. I called them and they wanted me to come in before the work and pay ANOTHER $185 consoltation fee to decide what other antibiotic to give me before they would proceed with the work. This seemed overly greedy to me. Also, while the root canals would not be covered by my medical insurance, I called my insurance (blue cross, blue shield) and they said the other procedure through the gum might well be but the dentist office would need to call before doing it for permission and to get it approved. Along with telling me they wanted a second consultation fee due to the medication problem the receptionist was very snippy and said I could call my insurance if I wanted but she didn't do that. I knew I had to pay the procedure up front but thought it was a small thing to ask them to help me possibly be reimbursed. The receptionist there is a real pill.

I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. They examined my son's tooth very thoroughly to make sure they didn't miss anything. It was nice to know when I left that everything had been taken care of, But i would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. He DOESNT do well with kids that are terrified. My son was very nervous and he didnt have very much patience with him. A root Canal is scary for anyone, let alone a child. They are very greedy and not willing to work with you unless you are very persistant. I am very unhappy with this office and DO NOT recommend them to anyone!!
