DO NOT GO HERE.. Have you ever wanted to feel like you're in a horror movie? If so, this is the place to go. I was referred by my dentist as a second choice but they could get me in faster. When I went on Google to get directions the day of the extractions I read a few reviews and made myself stop as they were not the best.
I'm thinking, can it really be that bad?
Yes, yes it can.
My first clue should have been the bloody tooth half way across the floor as I sit in the chair and wait for the unbelievable events to happen.
He came in, confirmed the extractions, I needed 4. Luckily they were in the back. Bad teeth run in my family so I am no stranger to dental work including extractions. I can take pain and can keep myself calm.
He proceeded to numb me by violently shoving the needle in and out of my jaw numerous places. Nothing I have ever experienced. I started shaking and the nurse said it was epinephrine in the novocaine which has NEVER happened to me before.
I think it was sheer terror of what might come next after that display of no common curiosity for my mouth.
He comes back in, says there will be pressure to check on the numbness and bam.
Continue torture. Holding my head to be able to push on my teeth in the most forceful way possible and it was as he was trying to win a game and see how many he could do in the shortest amount of time. I cannot even fully describe it. I had tears in my eyes from the craziness (not crying) and he says, "you are making me look bad with that tear" REALLY?
Needless to say it was 45 minutes after my appointment time when it started and they let me walk out of there with blood all over my face.
Days later, I couldn't think about writing the review until then cause I couldn't bring myself to relive it, I have major swelling and pain as the trauma to my mouth is unspeakable.
Still 2 weeks later I am having issues.
I have been pulling pieces of teeth out of my healing gums because they continue to be sore for this reason. I feel that there is a piece under healed gum and it will have to be addressed. I'm going back to the dentist to assess the situation. This is unacceptable and he should not be able to continue to do what he does from my experience and reading the reviews. He does more harm than good.
I do not wish him on anyone

Had emergency surgery and the entire office staff and Dr. Knipe could not of been more nice and courteous.. From the time I walked up to the building till I left they were very helpful. Dr. Knipe came out and explained what I should do when I get home. I would definitely recommend this office.

Dr. Knipe removed my wisdom teeth 10 years ago. I instantly knew something was not right with my lower left side the day after my surgery. Half my tongue was still number and burning, and shooting with pain. When I went back for the follow up a week or so later I told him about this and that I was worried. He said oh it'll take time don't worry could take a couple weeks. I let it go for a couple of weeks, and in immense amount of daily pain. Several weeks later it was still the same to no improvement. I called his office worried, terrified.. explaining this situation was still happening. I made an appointment he told me its normal it could take 6 months to a year to come back. He said give it a year to heal. So for a a year i waited. Still nothing changed. I developed major anxiety disorder, and was in constant chronic daily pain. I went to University of Penn after a year and a couple months because i felt like Dr. Knipe just did not care what had happened to me. When I saw the oral surgeon at Penn, basically they stated nerve repairing should of happened in the first 3-4 months. NOT ONCE did Dr. Knipe recommend anything other then waiting for a year. And guess what here I am 10 years later- still suffer with pain every day, have no feeling in half of my tongue or left bottom jaw. I have chronic pain in my jaw and tongue, and have severe anxiety. A good doctor and dentist follows up, and cares about their patients.. if Dr. Knipe would of listened to me and took that EXTRA step in patient care I may have been able to get my nerve repaired. But I will now live for the rest of my life with this, every oral surgeon I've seen sense said they have never had a patient go through this and they were unbelievably sorry for my experience. JUST MAKE SURE you research your oral surgeons before getting your wisdom teeth removed, KNOW your risks, and ask about your nerves and the risks on the xrays- also make sure if you do know something is wrong after you have a doctor who goes to bat for you and finds your the absolute BEST CARE cause every patient should be worth it.

Visited Dr. Knipe on referral from my dentist. I believe what others interpret as rude is simply the doctor's no-nonsense way of doing things. He did a great job on removing my tooth, and that's why I was there! Staff were polite and helpful. I gladly recommend him to others.

I was seen by Dr. Knipe on two different occasions and the second visit I had no choice because it was an emergency and he was the only one available. He is extremely rude, and very rough when working on your mouth. I told him several times that the Novocaine had not yet kicked in and he said he didn't have the time to wait, He had other patients to see. After yelling out in extreme pain, he told me to "shut up" twice! I will never go back to him no matter how urgent it is! His bedside manner is horrible!

Doctor Knipe removed my wisdom teeth recently and the whole staff greatly exceeded my expectations of what I thought the experience would be like. I greatly appreciated the atmosphere of the office, everyone was helpful and concerned about my comfort and pain levels, both pre and post-surgery. I had a few follow-up appointments and at each one I felt welcomed and any concerns that I had were addressed immediately. When I was in a bit concerned or in pain the nurse actually comforted me and spoke with me on a personal level to take my mind off of my problems. I was very thankful for how conscientious the team was and I feel as though it was a great experience altogether.
They definitely get my recommendation to anyone having wisdom teeth surgery or other oral work done.
