I was recommended here for an emergency extraction of a wisdom tooth August 12, 2010 late afternoon by my dentist. I called their answering service that evening and was told they were located in Lebanon?!? I looked up Dr. Dinello on the internet (since I don't want to travel to Lebanon in case something happens and I need to be put under) and found 2 with different middle initials that had offices close to one another in Harrisburg. So I called the other Dr. Dinello (he was on vacation until Sept 1) and they were more than willing to help and scheduled an appointment for Sept 1 just in case I couldn't find anything sooner (that was the day he was coming back from vacation, they actually gave a crap that I am in pain here). His receptionist told me that it is his son that is on Old Post Lane and maybe they could help me (now I am up to 2 referrals). So I called the one on Old Post Road and the gatekeeper was somewhat rude and wouldn't even try to fit me in for a consultation until September 1. Either they don't take emergency patients (which the gatekeeper should have told me), and in that event they should not be telling dentists to recommend them for emergency procedures; or they do and the gatekeeper just isn't too bright or couldn't be bothered to try to help. Their answering service needs a semi-clue as well when you call the Harrisburg office and are told they are in Lebanon. I understand that he also has a practice in Lebanon, but then you say "he is located in Lebanon AND Harrisburg. This is no reflection on their practice, I understand it is excellent, just a reflection on the customer service provided (or lack thereof) at the gatekeeper level. AND I do realize that all appointments might be booked for weeks, and that is not a problem BUT If it is an emergency, please please PLEASE be able to recommend someone that can see the patient within a day or two and not 2 1/2 weeks down the road. They don't give prescriptions for Vicadon that last that long.
