I was so happy to have my braces with Dr. Unruh. It was so well worth the time and money. I'm always impressed with the patience that Dr. Unruh has to answer my questions completely. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident about the future. They made sure every question I had was answered, and I felt very confident leaving my orthodontic needs in their care. His staff is wonderfully and very welcoming. They are so fun but still professional, and made the whole experience that much more comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Unruh to all my friends and family that are in need of orthodontic treatment.

I saw Dr. Unruh over a year ago for my orthodontic needs. I had a very unique case and was very worried that this problem would not be able to be corrected. However, to my delight Dr. Unruh was able to give me the perfect smile I have always wanted. His staff was always pleasent and always willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. The facility was very clean and I could tell it is well taken care of. I would highly recommend Dr. Unruh to anyone looking for an Orthodontist who cares about his patients and the outcome of treatment.

When Dr. Unruh purchased his practice from Dr. Welch I was a patient. I was on my second set of braces with Dr. Welch due to an ill fitting retainer. Dr Welch was very helpful and started to correct my alignment. He gave me a discount on my services since I was a recent patient and he remembered the problems we had with my retainer fittings.

Dr. Welch introduced me to Dr. Unruh who was very pleasant that visit. I saw Dr Welch two more times during the transition. The first chance Dr. Unruh had he removed my braces and cemented on a retainer (bending it to match my crooked teeth. No top retainer was provided unless I agreed to pay an additional amount for it. He stated I was Dr. Welch's "special project" (charity case) not his.

It has been many years since this happened, but I just finished my invisalign with a fantastic orthodontist in Overland Park where I currently live. It brought up my feelings of disgust with Dr. Unruh and his poor treatment when I was fitted with my final retainers. Had he not been focused on making as much money as he could, I would not have required additional treatment.

Hopefully his treatment of patients has changed since he has become more established in his practice.......my experience is old, but the feelings remain.

Took my son in to this orthodontist per the dentists instructions because he had a odd tooth turned sideways in the front of his mouth. They said that it was too early to do anything about it and to come back in 6 months so they could check it again. They suggested a type of treatment. Came back 6 months later, same answer, went back another 6 months later and they asked me what we expected them to do to fix the tooth. Was very disappointed in wasting two years of time while my son was being teased at school. So we went some place else, and they fixed everything in 18 months. He now has a beautiful smile, but I worry about the verbal trauma he received during his elementary years while we wasted a year and a half of precious time.
