I was in this town for business, and as something always does (go wrong) I started getting in one of my wisdom teeth, and an infection. I am not authorized to miss a day of class or I fail (work related) so this doctor was the only one that I found open on Saturdays, so I made an appt. it was in a large medical office building, so it was relatively easy to find, however you had to go through the back, where there was a large construction project going on, which was hard to navigate. But that was the best part. I went in, there was a patient behind the registration counter, saying that they used to work there. Then the doctor came out to get me, had me sit down, asked what the problem was (I told him infection on my gum due to new wisdom tooth eruption) he took tools and started banging on my teeth asking which one hurt... WITHOUT any gloves, or face mask, so while he was talking, he was spitting on my face, he wreaked of cigarette smoke, and without any further understanding of my problem, he brought out the syringe and was going to numb my mouth! I asked what he was going to do and he told me to calm down that he was going to clean it, I asked if he could see the tooth coming in,... he said no but he was going to see it on the x-ray, (so how was he going to clean a tooth without ever having seen it? And why was he numbing my mouth to clean something? He claimed it was because it would hurt too bad to clean without numbing it, even though he hadn't asked about my pain levels.) So I asked if we could do the x-ray before doing anything drastic, so then he took out the bite wing x-ray piece, again with no gloves, and tried to finagle it into some kind of holder, he then handed me the remote to take my own x-ray! The remote was dirty, it had some large particles on it, looked like food, (hoping it wasn't plaque). SO I got up and said that I was just going to take care of it when I got home, he then told me that I "needed to get myself under control" also which I did not appreciate. Before I could even drive off, he was back out in the parking lot smoking. The office was disgusting, and I would strongly recommend that you STAY AWAY!!! But that's that, my mouth still aches and I had to run back to my place to sanitize my face. Also while I was looking for placed that I could post a review so that I could warn others; I ran across a website with doctors discipline records on them stating that he had a four year probation for allowing employee to provide dental services without required supervision; misuse or abuse of alcohol.
Action: 4 yrs. probation 2/94
Probation expired 2/96
