I have never received such bad service in my life. First off I came here the first time, ON TIME to my appointment for 1:30 pm. They told me the Dentist had an emergency and would not be around. I asked why didn't they call me before I came in for my appointment. They had the excuse that they were making calls now. That should have been strike one for me. But no I made an appointment for two weeks later at the same time on a Friday. I come in TODAY for my appointment and they told me its a TWO HOUR WAIT for my APPOINTMENT?? Once AGAIN I can understand new Patients waiting half hour or something but TWO HOURS? Ridiculous. I let the receptionist know and she was like your gonna have to wait like everybody else. Was this a WALK in dentistry!? She didn't tell me anything else except that. I leave the place annoyed because how can you expect anyone to wait two hours? I called back to let them know I came in for my appointment, but there was a two hour wait and why had not anyone told me before coming in? Apparently this new lady on the phone was in the back and lied to me saying my appointment was at 2:00. The later agreed that 1:30-2:00 didn't matter. You basically gave me the run away, and she was like you should have put your name on the list. I said your receptionist did not give me a list or told me to put my name down. She's trying to blame me for information I did not know. Then she agree the receptionist should have told me that and basically there was not anything she could do about it. For the love of your life, I gave this place a chance despite reading bad reviews but I didn't know just SEEING the dentist would be that difficult. If you have people waiting a little for there scheduled appointments I understand, but if I have an appointment at 1:30 and you tell me I won't be seen till 3:30 or more, we have a problem. Please, review where you go. I don't know how the dentist are but if there staff are that unprofessional and shitty then I really don't feel comfortable anybody associated with this business pulling out my teeth.

I went to Dental Specialty to have a wisdom tooth removed. When Dr. Maurer started to extract it, the deepest point of the tooth felt like it was being ripped from a live nerve bed. As I moaned to alert him, he stopped for a moment and when I told him I couldn't put the pain into words, he told me I wasn't feeling pain, it was only pressure. He then reached back in my mouth, clamped my tooth, and continued to yank and twist the tooth as I howled in pain and finally let out a blood-curdling scream from the excrutiating sharpness of the pain. The tooth suddenly dislodged. The experience was terrifying. He hurt me, he did not listen to me, he just railroaded on through the extraction. Afterwards as I tried to tell him how much it hurt, he sternly told me I felt no pain, that I wasn't listening to him and said if I was truly in pain, I would still be in pain. He repeatedly replaced the word "pain" with "pressure. His treatment of me was cruel and unempathetic. My tooth is healing fine, but the trauma of the experience has left me disturbed and I feel compelled to warn others. I am even having trouble sleeping. I wake up thinking of how he hurt me and wouldn't stop or believe me. have never in my life been completely disregarded by a doctor. Even the smallest bit of compassion and kindness (of which there was none)would have made a huge difference.

As God is my witness, PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE! My experience at this place was the equivalent to a factory line. This was the first time having surgery and they made me feel like thing and not a person. They do not inform you of the procedure, or follow ups (if any). I went for a wisdom tooth extraction. Once they called me, it took 45 minutes for an assistant to get back to me, another 25 minutes to take x-rays, and then one dentist told me I need all four extracted when the issue was only one. (And yet he confirmed that only one needed to be taken out) Smh. The anesthesiologist was a little too enthusiastic to stick people based off the complaints from other patients and I, too experienced this. When the procedure was over I woke up hearing several footsteps and and a unprofessional assistant yelling, "they're up". An assistant put me in a room and it was a while before i saw my gf. The dentist that prescribed my medication was not the same one I dealt with 2 and a half hours prior. I was left with an overly sore mouth, a swollen face, no consultation. No one checked on me in the waiting room other than my girlfriend and a unknown assistant that was passing by and happened to ask " are you guys being helped?" It took her 10 mins to find out who was taking care of me and when she did, she came back and gave my gf the prescription and instructions. I have never come across such an unprofessional, discourteous bunch of people. This is by far the worst place I've ever been too and I only hope that authorities would step in and shut this place down. Too bad I had to give this place 1 star.

This review is no reflection on Dr. Gold - who is truly amazing and a good person, a good dentist, and seems like quite the anomaly at this practice.

This is by far the most *ss-backwards office ever. If it weren't for Dr. Gold, we would never have returned for oral surgery. Dr. Maurer is rude and incompetent, and we will be filing complaints wherever and however we can. The office staff does not communicate amongst themselves and we had to return to our pharmacy 10 times for a prescription that they never called in, even though they repeatedly said they did. DR. GOLD IS AMAZING and I really wish he had his own practice. Will we return again if we need oral surgery? ONLY if Dr. Gold is there and nowhere else. What a sad, sad place.

I have not met any other doctor as unpleasant, rude, and unhelpful as he is. I was referred to him for my wisdom teeth extraction and he, nor his assistants, informed me of precautions or anything that can happen after the surgery. After my surgery, half of my tongue was still numb, swollen, and painful, even after two days. The surgery wasn't even on my tongue. I searched online what might have happened and he may have caused nerve damage. I went back to his office to see what was wrong, and he used a tweezer and pinched my tongue really hard just to prove to me that it was not completely numb. All he said was "This is normal. Wait one to two weeks." I did as I was told and came back to the office two weeks later, because my mouth was still not normal. My inner gums were numb, and he did the same with the tweezers: He pierced it into my gums this time, and even made me bleed. Do not waste your money or even your time on him. He does not care about his patients.

The office staff is very slow and incompetent. It took 2 hours to be called into my appointment time in addition there was a lot of waiting time where I was given no instruction. Dr. Maurer barely said anything to me despite me asking questions. There was no after-surgery instructions given. There was also no instruction or telling me what was going to happen during my surgery. My tongue is also numb after 3 days so I'm slightly worried a nerve was cut. I was not even scheduled for Dr. Maurer, not one informed me that Dr. Gold was not in. The office staff that was nice was the lady who took the x-rays and the after surgery guy who called my bf in to help me.I hope I don't have to return.
