My son was referred to a pediatric dentist by another dental office he had been going to (Oak Orchard Dental in Brockport). Not a lot of dental offices accept our type of insurance and I had previously had a negative experience at Eastman Dental, and refuse to go back there. Anyway, we ended up at Dr. Glowinsky's Chili Avenue office. The receptionist has been great about allowing me to schedule appointments for my son during school breaks, so that he won't miss any of his classes. The waiting room is definitely geared toward small children and wait times are minimal. I must admit, though, that I do not care for the way the interior part of the office is set up. All of the children who are there getting their teeth cleaned have to sit in a big circle with no privacy - there aren't even curtains to separate the chairs. I don't think its anyone else's business what is going on with my child (there are a couple of rooms with doors, which everyone should be allowed to utilize, regardless of what they are there for - Oak Orchard Dental provides separate exam rooms with walls and doors, so I find it hard to understand why this office can't offer the same to all of its clients. I found Dr. Glowinsky's attitude somewhat unprofessional and a little crass, especially given the fact that he has worked with small children as long as he has. I was never given the choice of which dentist my son sees - maybe he would be better suited with Dr. Harding. Since I didn't particularly care for Dr. Glowinsky's "bedside manner" I have only taken my son to one of his appointments - I make my son's father (who has an even bigger attitude than Dr. Glowinsky) take our son to all of his appointments.

They were so happy to answer each and every question I had. They also encouraged me to call if I need any more answers in the future. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. They never complain about anything, and I know I can always count on them.

My 5 year old son has been there in the past 3 times for cleanings and dental work and never had a problem, but the last time, when they but the nitrous mask on his nose he started having a panic attack, tears running down his face, teeth clenched, whole body shaking. Dr. Glowinsky, instead of trying to calm him down and explain what he was doing, chose to ridicule my son and tell him he was crying for no reason. When he told him it hurt, he called him a LIAR and said he did not like being lied to. He even told him if he didn't act right he was going to "make Mommy leave"! As I was trying to console him and calm him down, Dr. Glowinsky just walked away disgusted. When I told the assistant I had enough, and that we were not going to proceed, he had the nerve to tell me that I've taught him nothing other than that if he cries, we will stop. Is this the standard for pediatric dentistry? Where we are trying to show children that going to the dentist is safe? I will never, ever take my children to this man again, and I will tell everyone who listens about this horrible experience.
