Bell Dental Care has the worst dental practice, I waited total over 2 hours for my dental cleaning! The cleaning was only 10 mins, she did not check my gums, did not polish my teeth and told me I may need a deep cleaning after confirming with dentist. I then was sent back outside to wait another 45 mins to have my x-rays taken and had to wait again to see the dentist. When the dentist arrived, she checked my teeth for 10 seconds, did not tell me the condition of my gum, did not mention if I needed a deep cleaning and send me off with 2 cavity fillings. My appointment for cleaning was for 12:30, I did not leave the office until 2:30 because of the long and unreasonable wait. I was extremely unhappy with Bell Dental's services and will never return to have any more dental work done. When I request to have my x-rays emailed to me, they have to charge me $25 for my own records! I explained to them the bad experience I had and I shouldn't be forced to have my dental work done but of course they do not care! All they care about is making money off of their patients and just kept saying it is office policy to charge patients to get their own x-rays. No other dentist would charge such a fee, they get paid from insurance company for taking the x-rays and it is unethical to charge patients for their own records. Please DO NOT COME to this dental office for any work done, they do not care about their patients, they only want to make money and they overbook appointments and they do not care, you will end up wasting a lot of time waiting and not getting good service!
My family has been going to Bell Dental Care for two years now. At first, we had our general cleanings and was not having any significant issues. But now I realize that the office is a scam. They are only concerned with getting you in and out and making money while doing it. Their waiting room is always packed, but the dentist spends very little time with you (a minute or two).
At the last cleaning, I was told I had a two cavities and had to have them filled. I procrastinated and at the next cleaning ( 6 months later) I was told I only had one cavity (as per the Xrays) When I asked them about the other one, the dentist told me that must have been a mistake. I didn't chuck it up to dishonesty, just a little puzzling.
Recently my husband's molar tooth chipped and he went in to Bell Dental. He was told he needed to have the in house oral surgeon remove the molars instead. They told him he need a total mouth scan that would cost $170 out of pocket. We called our insurance just in case and was told the scan was included in our insurance. When we told the office manager this, she yelled at us and said there was no way it was going to be covered. We asked our insurance to call the office to give them authorization. When OUR OWN INSURANCE called them, the office manager still did not believe it!! I don't know what more proof is necessary. To top it off, our insurace asked my husband how many teeth are being removed? We said ONE, but they said Bell Dental had put in a claim for THREE teeth.
After this last episode we are done with Bell Dental. If you are lucky, you might go in for a routine cleaning or Xrays. But if any other work is needed, you might be paying an arm and a leg. Just check with your insurance before paying any out of pocket costs, don't trust what they tell you.
I was seen almost as soon as I walked in the door. I didn't have to reorganize my day around my appointment at all. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. They were so nice and professional and even called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special.
