I called this dentist on a recommendation. WHAT A MISTAKE!
When I called for an appointment and mentioned that I had Delta Dental insurance, they immediately told me that they preferred that I had CIGNA dental insurance, and that they worked more closely with them on their billings. So I went online and I purchased the highest grade of insurance you can get with CIGNA which gave me up to $3000 a year of dental work at a cost of $99 a month.

about the dental insurance, I explained that I had a three tooth bridge that had broken and I needed to either have it fixed and they said it was no problem. It was in their purview.

The problem started from the very first visit. I was told that I had to pay for most of the procedure prior to having the work done and they charged me over $3000 which they stated was my out-of-pocket cost. I felt it was very unfair that I had to pay that kind of money upfront because I never been to a dentist that made you pay that money upfront, but I was sitting without three teeth in the front of my mouth so I didn't put up much of a fuss.

I explained to the dentist in her billing personnel that because it was January 28 and I signed up for the new CIGNA insurance. It wouldn't take affect until February 1 but being as I had Delta Dental already they would cover the initial consultation. So that was done the last few days of January with a work plan set up after my CIGNA activation date of February 1. So they set for me starting the month of February for measurements and impressions to prepare order the bridge that I needed. Then I went in and they said they had to Had to trim part of my gum and other modifications to prepare for the fitment of my bridge so altogether, it must've been four or five visits until a conclusion and a bridge was installed.

Unfortunately, the bridge isn't fitting properly as food packs between the bridge and the gum and while I'm chewing and eating, I have to remove the food because it becomes uncomfortable. To go along with that issue I continually had with them about the billing because I wanted to get my money back from the insurance company as soon as possible, but it became an issue because they submitted a bill to Delta Dental and never submitted the bill to CIGNA dental. And I know these things because I called both of the insurance companies and spoke directly to the billing at the bill that was sent to Delta Dental. It is one of the most disgraceful bills seen in my life and only showed A final cost with four entries of what work was done and showed that it was all done on one day and they made sure they made it a day before CIGNA insurance began my coverage, which meant I would not be reimbursed because by their billing it says that they did all the work on one day. very obvious that the work could not have been done on one day for all the work that was done to build up the gum to trim the gum and fit the bridge but to send me a copy of a bill that shows everything bill the day before my insurance coverage began, was just a slap in the face and showed that they were massively overcharging me for the bridge.

After speaking to a close who hygienist at another dental she explained to me that even $4000 is more than reasonable three tooth bridge by any dentist and that my bill for over $7000 was completely out of line and ridiculous and that everything should've went to the insurance first And my out-of-pocket should've been billed to me at a different time but till this day they are trying to press me to pay an additional $2600 when they still have not submitted the bill properly to CIGNA insurance because all the work that was done significantly to was in fact done after my activation date, but they continually refuse to submit the bills properly.

After several months, they still refuse to file an appropriate bill with dates of service and types of procedures. Their billing person Tara is a total train wreck and incompetent.

This dentist has also charged more that four thousand dollars over the usual price of a three tooth bridge. Since my last posting, Dayna Cassandra sent this bill to collection and "still" refused to submit the properly prepared statement/explanation of benefits to the insurance company.
