I would rather pay out of pocket for dental than to ever step foot into that dirty RUDE office every again. THe dentist grabbed my child by the arm and pulled her into the chair. At one point put forced her mouth open because she was scared. She's 4 years old and previously loved going to the dentist. Now she's terrified and had nightmares about it. They also said she had 8 cavities and upon getting a second opinion we found out she has 2! When I called to complain the office manager was rude and said that they've never had a complaint and the dentist is not at all as we claimed. I wouldn't recommend this awful place to my worst enemy!

I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them.

I was glad that they were located in a safe neighborhood. I've been to some other places where I was scared to get out of my car but not here. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. They always explain every aspect of my dental procedures to me. I never have to worry. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time.

Thank you to the other reviewers for their information. This practice is one of the few Pediatric dental practices in our network however, based upon these reviews I will certainly stay away! I so appreciate your reviews and input.

My kids had an appointment and since they had not been there in a year, I was told I would have to fill out more paperwork and asked me to come in a little early. I went shopping before their appointment so when I got to the office, I was 45 minutes early. The girl at the desk said my appointment was for the day before and I told her no it was not, she insisted it was and I said no, my older son had an eye doctor appointment the day before and I did not schedule them the same day. To her surprise, she realized she was wrong, then snapped at me and said, "well the dentist is out to lunch and she won't be back for an hour". I asked if there was another dentist and she said no, (there are multiple dentists in this office) they are all out to lunch. I said, really? Every single one of them? Yes, she says with a smirk, then she tells me I would have to wait an hour to see the dentist, which of course would be longer because the last time I took my kids there I had to wait almost an hour PAST my appointment for them to get in! So I tell her that I was told to come in early, she says, yes, but not almost an hour early, we tell people a half hour...well, since I was coming from Bayville and not around the corner, I was not about to sit there with my 8 year old twins waiting for the dentist to come back from lunch, and WHY was my appointment scheduled during what appears to be their lunch time? Then I said I would reschedule, and asked about obtaining my kids dental records and x-rays. She tells me they would need new xrays because they were over a year old. OK I tell her, then I said never mind, I am not coming back here again! Then I walked out! Her attitude was rotten and snide and she was more angry that SHE was wrong by telling me their appointment was the day before when it was not. I would never recommend them to anyone. AND, another point to make, last year my son had two teeth pulled and a root canal and a cap put on, costing me out of pocket almost $500 because THEY told me my insurance did not cover the work to be done, only the exam and xrays....Well, with this last experience, since I know my kids between the both of them need close to $1000 worth of work (root canals due to caps falling off, and more teeth to be pulled plus some cavities to be filled) I have come to find that my insurance DOES cover all these things that need to be done. So I have to wonder if they double billed, me and the insurance company when claiming payment for the exams and xrays. I will be doing my research on this. They are down right rude to people. It is a shame because the dentist who saw my kids last year was actually very good. But they need to rid themselves of the office people and replace them. Even last year they office manager I believe it was, gave me a hard time when I asked if I can break up the payment for the work over 2 payments. She made it seem as if she was doing me a huge favor! Nasty.

This dentist office has the rudest people working for them at there front desk...and there dentist do horrible work. My child went to them for 2 teeth to be fixed ... one a simple filling and the other a root canal... 2 days later after having the work done my child came home from school complaining of pain in the tooth. The same tooth that was suposed to be fixed. I called Lakewood and notified them of this issue and asked if they could see him that day to fix the problem. I told them I can see there is clearly no filling in the tooth that they say they fixed.. and the girl I spoke to told me my son must have ate something to hard and poped the filling out... & said she couldnt get him in that week that his dentist was not in on this particular day either. I was totaly lost for worst... what happened to emergency visets..wasnt there another dentist there that could help?... my child was crying in pain. After speeking to her I called MY dentist and expalined the problem and they had me bring him 10 minutes later after telling them my sons problem. Once we arrived to my dentist I was greeted with kind smiles as always and they took my son for xrays... they came to find out that the teeth Lakewood worked on were not done completly... one of the teeth was missing a filling and the other was never given the root canal.. thus being all the pain my child was having ! My dentist fixed the problem right there and then and I was mordified to hear of this news. The dentist at Lakewood Pediatric Dental are incompetent and dont even do the work they bill you and charge you for !!
