I was referred for a root canal on one of my teeth. He decided the tooth was cracked in the root and could not be fixed and should be extracted. He thought an implant was the best the option to replace the tooth and wanted to extract my tooth and put the implant in that day without talking to my regular dentist. I questioned him on why he would do this without talking to my dentist and why he thought he was qualified to put the implant in since he was trained to do root canals and not implants. He tried to explain that he took some some extra courses but has never really trained to implants in. I felt skeptical and decided to not let him treat me. When I talked to my dentist he said there is no way he should be doing the implant and referred me somewhere else. When I saw the implant specialist I felt much more confident and I will never see Dr. Wells again.

I can't believe the previous reviewer saw the same person. I've been going to Dr's Wells's practice for a number of years now, and have always found him polite, helpful and very careing, as is his staff.

My wife was referred to Dr. Wells for a potential root canal. He said it needed to be done today because it was an emergency. He barely said three words to my wife explaining the procedure to her and did not explain the risks and benefits of removing her EXPENSIVE bridge work. To make matters worst, while on the table getting ready to get the novacaine injection, a member of his staff came in to talk about price quotes and how much it was going to cost!!! Needless to say, that is not th etime to talk about finances of a procedure right before it going to start. A few days later, my wifes bridge cracked and when she called to talk to Dr. Wells, he was rude, defensive, and non-compasionate. He said "you signed the consent form, would you like me to read it for you?" He was arrogant and tried to put the blame on her stating "I explained everything to you." "Is this the kind of game you want to play?" Needless to say, we will not being going back for his services. Being in manager in the healthcare feild, I know of a couple medicare rule violations that will be reported to the board of medicine.
