Chad Elkins was nice when I met him for my emergency visit due to me being unable to see my dentist whom was on vacation. After Chad reviewed my XRays he sat and discussed with me where my pain was coming from. He then asked me if my dentist made me aware that the tooth he filled had been drilled deep down to my nerve and I said no in a shocking tone. He then tells me that this is where my pain is coming from and I need to see Dr. Bruggmen for an extraction. So I'm thinking great the first dentist that did my fillings had already made me feel uncomfortable now this dentist "Chad Elkins" is telling me that the other dentist caused nerve damaged! Chad gives me a script for antibiotics and afterwards I felt that maybe Elkins Family Dental would be better for my treatment because they were kind and gentle and I felt comfortable with them. I was totally wrong. After I asked to be their patient and they accepted my request I made an insurance claim to tell my insurance the results from Chad Elkins XRays and what he verbally told me. During the investigation Chad Elkins lied on my claim just to save his fellow dental associate. Surely he hadn't thought about how that would affect me and my fears of going to the dentist. Why would I claim Chad verbally told me what he had if he hadn't especially when my claim wasn't for a refund nor was it against Chad Elkins? The answer is I wouldn't! I asked to be his patient because of his openness to make me aware of the other dentist mistake? I am still shocked and now having a hard time getting my records from Elkins Family Dental. I have no trust in going to the dentist in Great Falls, Montana and am considering going back to Florida for treatment from great dentist that I know.Nice but a dishonest dentist "Chad"!
