I wish I had never taken my son here. Dr. Bhatia made his case seem so complicated when it was not. She charged more for a regiment of treatment that was overally aggressive and cause my son a good deal of pain. We finally switched because I no longer trusted her and our relationship had deteriorated to the point where I could not talk to Dr. Bhatia. She seems nice initially but becomes rude and condescending. The new orthodontist that we selected was appalled at the amount of metal in my son's mouth. He gave this analogy-you can use scissors to trim a bush or a chain saw. We were getting the chainsaw treatment. My suggestion is to cross this group off your list and find a different provider. Learn from my mistake.
Her schedule is very limited. It seems she is never available. Maybe it's because she is more interested in her Hawaii offices. She talks down to and blames patients. She has a very superior attitude toward patients and her staff which is ashame because her staff is the only positive in her office. I would not return.
They didn't tell me very much about my treatments' risks and benefits. I still felt like I had to do my own research. They had a few different appointment times available but none were perfect for my schedule. I would be hard pressed to give them a recommendation after my experience. Their office looked like the cleaning crew may have skipped a week. Be warned she is in business by herself and running an office in Kihei, HI along with those in town. She talks down to staff, parents and patients alike. Very displeased with her care. Would not recommend to anyone. If you have anything but a very straightforward ortho case I would not dare go to her. She also has a bad reputation with many other health care professionals around town. Shop around to other
