Dr. Fear definitely lived up to his name and if you are assigned to see him, be very afraid. For all his years of experience, I expected someone with a calm confidence. Instead, I was shocked to find a cranky old man who seems either burned out in his work or due for a vacation. Or perhaps my tooth extraction got a little too complicated for the amount my insurance company wanted to reimburse? After two bent needles, yelling at me for hyperventilating, using shaming and condescending tactics—including multiple threats to stop the procedure because I was upset, it’s no wonder I was crying. In 40+ years I’ve had much dental work which has included fillings without novocaine (by choice), so I’ve experienced a wide variety of dental providers and I can handle a lot. But I’ve never seen anything even close to the harsh, compassionless rudeness of this man who acted as if he were providing care to a convicted criminal. I would never allow this man to perform oral surgery on my children! There are other choices in this area. Do your research.
