My teenage daughter was referred to Dr. Lechtenberg by her orthodontist, for several extractions. He noticed that two of the proposed extractions did not make sense, and brought this to our attention. Upon checking with the orthodontist, it turned out that there had been a clerical error in the orthodontist's written instructions to Dr. Lechtenberg, which would have had catastrophic results if Dr. Lechtenberg had not been so careful and conscientious. Fortunately, he caught the mistake in time and the correct teeth were extracted. Dr. Lechtenberg is not just a good oral surgeon in the technical sense, he has the experience, good judgement, and character to question anything that does not make sense to him, where others might not.
I was extremely lucky to be referred to Dr. Lechtenberg. It was a rough operation, but the IV Valium helped significantly, and I am very thankful that I was in such very skilled and experienced hands. An old-fashioned (in the best sense) practice, very ethical, honest, and full of care for the patient.
