I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease over 30 year ago, and had surgery and the whole bit. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Widerlite at this time in my life. He is the best and my family members see him now and adore him too. Dr. Widerlite is kind, patient, caring and he listens! He's also very tech savvy. Everyone at Capital Digestive is professional, courteous, and responsive - reception, billing, nursing staff, etc. They are by far the best medical team I've experienced and it makes a real difference when you're not well.

Dr. Widerlite has every attribute that I could expect from a provider. He is responsive, patient, and has a firm grip of what patients expect. He Is very approachable and willing to take all the time necessary to answer questions, explain options, and follow through. He truly cares and exhibits that quality without exception.
I have been a patient since 2004 and am committed to him and his approach.

Dr Widerlite spent more time than most doctors and enormously more than a GI specialist I saw at a hospital, who had no useful ideas or suggestions or diagnosis. I have been pleased at his willingness to discuss possible diagnoses and outcomes,

My experience with this doctor was terrible. He was regularly dismissive towards me. At one point, towards the end of an appointment, he even poked me in the abdomen and said, "Are you pregnant, or is that just you?"
