I just began the process of a dental implant with Dr. Akhikar. I have some negative experiences with other dental offices in the past, but Dr. Akhikar was amazing! He explained, in detail, everything that he was going to do and he was honest in expressing possible complications that could occur. Dr. Akhikar not only is an extremely competent doctor, but was very gentle and continuously spoke to me during the procedure, ensuring that I was comfortable the entire time. His assistant Patricia is an amazing asset to his team! She helped keep me calm by talking to me, adding that personal touch, making me feel at ease prior to the surgery, and she comforted me throughout the procedure (Its amazing how a gentle squeeze of the hand and a friendly smile can calm any nerves you may be experiencing). I received a call at home as a follow up to make sure I was feeling okay. Overall, Dr. Akhikar and his office go above and beyond to make sure that the patients are comfortable and at ease, while being in completely capable hands. From the first phone call to schedule the appointment (Vanessa) to the moment I checked in with his wonderful staff, I feel Dr. Akhikar and First Family Dental have made a patient for life out of me!

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. They do horrible jobs on crowns....my broke off in less than a year and the only option gave me was implant-went to another dentist and I recieved many other options like lets drill and put new post! Wow who would have thought? dahhhh dont go you will walk out worse than when you went in

I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. They gave me advice about what I could do at home to prevent tooth decay, and it's really helped. They are very knowledgeable.

Not really. I usually have to wait a long time

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond

No I've never had any complaints
