They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. If I couldn't find anyone better, I'd return again, but I'm hoping I can find better service somewhere else. I would NOT recommend this doctor to a friend. I would actually encourage a friend to go elsewhere. I feel that the doctor is probably very competent but is over booked, too busy, or just doesn't care to answer your questions or spend more than 30 seconds on you. I felt as if he would have taken action/had more concern if immediate action/surgery was needed....but my problem was not solved with him performing surgery (probably his money maker) thus I was pushed out without feeling like I knew how to proceed.

They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. Every time I'd ask a question, it seemed like they were annoyed and didn't want to give me an answer. I understand they're busy, but they should really treat their clients better. Dr. Knudson was more concerned about his car in the parking lot that he felt was getting dirty by the work being done by the groundskeepers.

Dr Knudson has had great financial success as an orthopedic surgeon. So much so that he was the object of a federal investigation. (Dept HHS) According to local papers Dr Knudson was paid more than $2 millions by the local Hospital for just one year. At $4,500 a pop, that is a lot of surgery. His competency was not reported as an issue in the investigation.

In my case he botched a THA (hip replacement dislocated within 24hrs). As a result, two bouts of MRSA, three THAs later, and a three year convalescence.
Please Note according to the liability laws of Iowa my complications were not his fault.
Dr Knudson said the infection was beyond the capability of the Locals (not true) and I was referred to the Mayo Clinic which thankfully was able to repair the damage.
