Beginning when you walk in the waiting room of Dr. Ciulla’s office, you are met with smiles and a pleasant attitude from the ladies behind the reception desk.
The nurse who calls you in is always pleasant and begins with inquiring about your condition. Each examining room I go into and the procedure done by the nurse is always very professional and competent.
Dr. Ciulla always greets my family and I with a very pleasant handshake and is genuinely interested in my progress. When he told us I had a hole in my Retina, he explained in terms we understood the surgery he would do. After each surgery he went out to my family and patiently explained everything he had done. This was greatly appreciated!
Another outstanding office are the ladies in the business office, so accommodating and pleasant.
Our experience with Dr. Ciulla and his staff at the Midwest Eye Institute has been very good and one we would recommend.

Since moving to the Indianapolis area from Ohio, Dr Ciulla has treated me for macular degeneration. My treatments almost always include an injection of medication into my eye. Even though Dr.Ciulla was highly recommended, I was still worried about having another doctor injecting me since I was quite satisfied with my treatments in Ohio. From the first visit to Midwest Eye Institute, I have found Dr Cuilla his assistants, and office staff to be friendly, efficient, and helpful. I feel comfortable and relaxed going there even though I know I'm getting an injection. Dr.Ciulla makes the procedure quick and relatively painless and less of an ordeal that it was for me in Ohio. I have gone from an injection every 4-6 weeks to an injection every 3 months. I am extremely satisfied with Dr.Ciulla and his staff.

My husband had a detached retina on Sunday May 25. Dr. Ciulla was the doctor on call. He came in and open the office within a matter of a few hours. After examining my husband eye, he confirmed that the retina was detached and that he needed surgery ASAP. Dr. Ciulla immediately got on the phone and assembled and entire surgical team for surgery the next morning on Memorial Day! We were very impressed by Dr. Ciulla rapid and personal response.

I woke up on a Saturday morning with a torn retina. I live 70 miles from Indy but my local doc referred me here as they were "the best". Dr. Ciulla was on call that weekend and met me at his office later that day which was closed. He arranged a surgery team and by 7:00 am Sunday morning I was at the surgery center as the "polar vortex" storm was looming. By 9:00 am I was out of surgery and heading home. Got snowed in the next day and could not make it in for post op until Wednesday. Dr. Ciulla kept in contact with me at home and gave me his personal cell number to call if I had questions. My vision is totally restored. I have been back for follow ups three times. Staff is prompt and friendly. Never waited more than 5 minutes past my appointment time. Dr. Ciulla is very personable and caring. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
