Lake pointe dental is not a dentistry facility that I'd personal recommend to a homeless person.

I don't leave very many reviews but making an exception for this one. My procedure has been an on going one since last February. Four dental implants. I've finished up with all my surgery/healing time. Now it's time to see the regular dentist.

When I went for my follow up visit I was given the worst run around of my life! 1st I was told to continue that I needed to pay for the procedure first. Call me ignorant but that's what insurance claims are for.

I've humbled the situation and asked for a price quote during my follow up visit. I was told the procedure would be $3,800. No mention of insurance deductible was made so I asked if that included insurance.

The nurse abruptly left me in the room, returned 15 minutes latter with a new price quote from their in house accountant/billing.

The new price was to my surprise was $4,400! That'll teach me to ask about pricing. Never mind the fact I have money covered for out of pocket; that's not the point. I HAVE INSURANCE for a reason.

I told the nurse I will wait for a pre authorization from my insurance company. She smirked and said "ok.....that'll be an additional six week wait time". It finally arrived in the mail today. It appears Lake Pointe Dental is not only incompetent in taking care of their customers, but also at filling out an insurance claim.

My claim was denied of course because the office submitted a claim for a NON-SPECIFIC treatment!

A little more than irritated is an understatement when describing this place & dealing with them.

It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. The staff was very helpful no matter how many times I called with a question or concern. They never made me feel uncomfortable for asking any question. I was relieved that my gums didn't bleed very much after my appointment. I've been to other dentists that weren't gentle while they were flossing my teeth so I was nervous I would encounter that here but I didn't at all. I love that I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. Other places I've visited, seem to give up after they don't have an answer for me the first time, but not here. I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease.
