My husband and I both visited Dr. Chang after not going to the dentist for about 4 years due to no insurance. After taking x-rays, Dr. Chang stated that I had about 7 cavities and needed a deep cleaning, which she performed that day. She also stated my husband had 9 (yes, NINE) cavities. I was very hesitant to take her word regarding the treatment needed and immediately scheduled an appointment with another office in town. Upon visiting the second dentist with my x-rays from Dr. Chang in hand, I was told I only had one cavity and definitely did not need a deep cleaning. My husband actually had ZERO cavities. I would not recommend anyone go to Dr. Chang. She only wants to make a buck. To me, the reason she performed a deep cleaning was because my insurance did not cover that type of cleaning, so I had to pay 100% out of pocket. Between my husband and I, we had over $2000 OUT OF POCKET expenses at Dr. Chang's office. The only bill we've paid at the new office is $135 for another cleaning because Chang's office didn't do what they charged us for and insurance would not cover another cleaning. WORST dentist experience EVER!

Though the staff was pretty friendly, as was doctor Chang herself, I left in tears...twice. The first time, because I was told I needed roughly $2,000 worth of dental work. My teeth are relatively straight, white and had few issues prior. I went in because I had a wisdom tooth coming in. I knew I had a couple of cavities...but I had NO IDEA I was in need of so much work! The office is very nice and there are televisions in every room/cubicle and it seems like they really spare no expense in making the office look and feel nice...which it did...but I can't help but wonder if this is part of why their pricing is so high. When I came and got two of the necessary fillings, I was given Novocaine multiple times, but it still wasn't enough. It was the most painful dental experience I have ever had. I just has to clench the arm rests and hold my breath until it was over. As soon as it was done, they had me pay and out of there. The tooth is rough, the filling material is the texture of plaster of paris and jagged edges on the outside scrape the inside of my jaw. The tooth now has extreme sensitivity to cold, which it never did before. I need to go back for more work, but cannot afford the prices here (and yes, I do have dental insurance!) and am honestly afraid to go back. I'm looking for a new dentist. If you're all about atmosphere and price doesn't matter at all, you may like this place....but otherwise, I'd say look around a bit more.

The office was easy enough to find. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time.
