If you've ever read up about how dentists scam patients by using expensive and unnecessary treatment and diagnostics, this dentist may set off A LOT of the warning bells.
I visited this dentist since she was in network for my dental insurance provider. I scheduled the appointment expecting basic dental x-rays and a cleaning, and said as much.
1. I got in and did the x-rays. I later found out that they billed my insurance company over $800 for the x-rays. The paper they have you sign to consent to this treatment says it may cost over $400. I guess technically it's true since $800 is over $400. I wonder why they didn't charge more. Why not $6,000? Since the insurance company isn't about to pay that much for the x-rays, looks like I'm going to have to take that one up with the practice.
2. Oh yeah, speaking of the x-rays. Apparently they do some kind of gimmicky x-ray and charge more for it. My research (unfortunately, after the fact) shows it isn't any more effective and gives you 18X the standard dosage of x-ray radiation. Woops.
3. They refused to do a basic cleaning, which would have been covered.
4. No, apparently I need a deep cleaning to the tune of about $980. I later visited another dentist who told me I don't need this, and have healthy gums that don't even show signs of minor gingivitis.

This dentist and staff were amazing!!!! She explained everything and I was in and out without any problems. Angel at the front was so adorable and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone! The technology was incredible, the office beautiful and spotless!! I am a germaphobe and I look at everything. Really I recommend this office without any complaints!!

I have visited the Shapiro Dentistry facility once in 2008. I had a wonderful experience. Of course the dentist I saw that day was not Dr./Mrs. Dari Shapiro. The dentist I had and saw that day was Mr/Dr. Seth Shapiro. The entire staff present that day took good care of me. No biased remarks here, and no sex discrimination here either. I trust no one, but Dr. Seth and staff present that day were able to win my mind over to at-least give them the benefit of doubt. They did not over charge me. a The dentist I saw that day for the surgical procedure of a tooth removal proceeded with tender care, and had the knowledge to do the job correctly and accurately. I haven't been back for a visit since my first and only visit in 2008, but I look forward to going back for dental care, and hope to receive the same wonderful experience I received at my first time visit, on my first day of visit in 2008 on/in present time & future visits. I hope everyone receives the same wonderful experience in the present & future that I received the day of my visit last 2008. I hope to have the same wonderful pleasant experience now and in the future.

This dentist is rude, and unprofessional . She told me I needed a crown and talked me into the system where they nake the crown in the office. She didn't even do the work...she has her assistants do everything. The procedure was so painful and for 10 months now it is hurting and I cannot eat on that side. I have been back there 3 times and her hygenist files the crown down... Now she tells me to go to an endodontist... She will not even explain what is going on. She is rude and impatient. I can imagine how many people's teeth and mouth she has ruined.
Now I have to spend lots more money to get this corrected. She will never admit that possibly she made a mistake. She said I did not need a root canal and that the nerve seemed fine...now she is washing her hands of the entire thing.. DO NOT GO TO THAT OFFICE---IT IS LIKE A FACTORY.
All they are out to do is make money.

The worst dentist I have ever seen. Totally rude and unhelpful. Tried to double bill my insurance on top of poor service. STAY AWAY!
