I had to change insurance due to employment change so I thought I would give River Hills Dentistry and Dr Reid a chance at my business since they are close by. My first initial checkup/ X-rays went ok and I made an appt to go back to have my teeth cleaned. Well after I had arrived and was sitting in the dental chair they tell me they are going to do over $700 worth of special gum cleaning instead of just the regular cleaning. I said thanks but no thanks just a cleaning will do fine for now. Dr Reid refused to clean my teeth! Of course I walked out instead of being extorted out of $700. I also told them my wife would not be coming in for her initial exam either. She even called to cancel. But what does Dr Reid do?? He charges my wife for a missed appointment for $45 and is charging another $7 every month for a "billing charge".. Dr Reid if you are reading this my credit score is well over 800 so your little bill doesn't mean a hill of beans to me and STOP sending me bills!!!

Not really, I was given a couple tips but not very many

Up until recently the office was friendly and efficient. All of that has changed in the last 6 months or so. The staff are poorly informed and Dr. Reid appears aloof. He does criticize the patient harshly if he thinks they have ignored their dental care. Many people cannot afford the expensive treatments but they are not sensitive about it. He is highly skilled but seems to be encouraging many procedures to increase the cost. I am on a dental plan and he openly shows his distaste for "the plans".

The front office staff was very friendly and professional. In contrast, Dr. Reid was very unfriendly, insensitive and rude. I had a comprehensive exam, followed by the dentist telling me that I needed a lot of additional services. He talked to me as if I had never been to a dentist before. I have had regular dental care all my life and had just switched to this location closer to my home for convenience. Since my previous dentist had never mentioned any problems, I immediately went elsewhere for a second opinion and got a very different result. I do not recommend this dentist.
