First and foremost the staff was very RUDE to me. Without question the most unprofessional, RACIST women I have ever had the dis-pleasure of not only being left there in agonizing pain all the while they were laughing. Whenever I was finally brought back to the examination/procedure room where I was greeted by another young man-not Dr. Scott. She even had the audacity to say, "I bet HER mouth is Nasty! If it weren't for being in so much pain and desperately needing that tooth OUT, I would have given her as well as the entire front area a piece of my mind. Message to those who ARE RACIST: If you don't like us NASTY white folks-Don't accept us in the door much. Ironically there was NO problem with the color of money as NASTY as that is passed around like the plague! On a lighter note Dr. Scott was very pleasant to me.He understood how and why I was in so much pain and although he couldn't pull the tooth that day: due to having an infection that needed to be dealt with first by taking antibiotics first then coming back for the tooth extraction. Sadly after telling my husband about this experience there was no way in the world he would allow me to return. It's very sad that Dr. Scott most certainly is losing more business than he is probably even aware of due to the unprofessional ignorance presented by the very people there to represent HIM!

The front desk lady seemed to be very helpful but my main issue was when I was taken into the back room i was told "you are aware that there is a $50 fee for this visit right?" I asked why, and brought my insurance coverage sheet. She said for a REQUIRED panoramic x-ray. I know that Panoramic X-Rays DO NOT show decay\cavities, she gave me a very mean and ugly stare and said "...we know what we're doing here sir." So I asked why I have to pay for it and she said "the doctor requires it", so I asked if we could just do the FMX x-rays and she said no. I asked if there was any way I could opt out of the panoramic x-rays and she said no, not if I wanted any services done there. She said that they will be doing both and "that the normal ones are free but you have to pay for the panoramic x-ray.) And having a mother that's been in this business longer than I've been alive (not living here as I live on my own and support myself) tell me that panoramic x-rays are completely unnecessary and not only that, but they would be exposing me to HIGH,over double the amount, of radiation recommended, let alone necessary, and that they are just trying to make huge amounts of money off both me, and my insurance.

Needless to say I ran for the hills after she said I cannot opt out; I thanked her kindly and left.

If this is done to you, not just at this office but any office, I would highly recommend you promptly leave and find another office.

They never left me for an extended period of time and I never felt ignored. They've never been late to any of my appointments. I've even showed up early sometimes and they've always been ready and prepared. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. I felt that they really valued my health and happiness because they followed up even after my appointment just to check up on me. It was such a nice gesture that made a huge difference. I love when I leave the dentist and I'm able to feel how much cleaner my mouth is, and I definitely felt that after my appointment here.

During the years I spent in Tallahassee earning my college degree I visited Faith Dental for a couple of problems. One of these visits was for a very seriously infected molar that would require a root canal. Instead of referring me to a specialist, "Dr." Scott, in a fit of vanity, attempted the procedure himself even though he was unskilled for the job. During one of the four drawn-out visits the root canal took, an assistant burst into the exam room while my anesthetic was settling and demanded a credit card; the staff overlooked some old paper work and then came to me to fix their mistake. During that same procedure, while my tooth was open and jaw split by a bracket, "Dr." Scott and his assistant left the room claiming to return in five minutes. Forty-five minutes later they sauntered back in to finish the job they were unqualified to do. Of course the root canal was not a success, I still experienced discomfort and pain, and I have to go through more surgery and expenses to correct his mistakes.

After visiting more attentive and practiced dentists, I see that my options for remedy and available materials were not fully explained to me by Dr. Scott, which is one the most important things a patient needs to be aware of, their options. I have since had a root canal performed (on a different tooth) by a specialist. I saw drastically less chair-time, felt less pain and paid less money. After what I went through with Dr. Scott, I had no idea a root canal could be so easy and effective!

All of my appointments with Dr. Scott were booked weeks in advance, and still I sat in their waiting room thirty minutes at the least, and up to one hour & forty-five minutes at the most. The building is corroded, crowded and water-stained. The staff is amiable, through my many visits I even came to look forward to chatting with them, however, this is no even trade for the peace of mind and good results a more reliable dentist can offer.

I do not recommend this dentist to anyone, friend or stranger.
