Dr. Barr is good in keeping appointments and his quality of work is fair. But the billing person keeps billing patients although it is covered by their dental insurance like us.
My husband has a lot of trouble keeping up with bills in his care credit it's keeps filing up although it's an ordinary cleaning and was told that it's covered.

Advise to new patients if you go to this doctor make sure you documented the person who clean your teeth, date and time and let the person sign it if it is free. Or else you will receive bills from your mail.

It is unfortunate that this dentist has chosen the staff that he has. He seems competent and pleasant. His staff is rude, unhelpful and uncaring. The billing here is a headache. Numerous times I had to point out being overcharged or charged incorrectly. Once I even had to call the insurance company and have them tell the billing clerk she was wrong for refusing to adjust off what they were contractually obligated to. I was turned away twice in front of other patients when I showed up for appointments because of billing errors on their part. They filed multiple bills for the same visits to my insurance company. I was treated horribly. I left this practice a year ago and still cannot get my records released because they say I owe money that the insurance company has attempted to send them TWICE!!! I have given up dealing with them because the front office could care less.I have filed a complaint with my insurance company who states they will be investigating all of the double billing practices. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you want to pay extra because they will charge you wrong. What a nightmare!!!!

Well the front desk staff was nice as well as Dr. Barr. The rest of the office looked and acted as if they did even care. One girl was on her cell phone and eating in the room as I walked by. There was another wondering around lost asking the Dr. questions not sure she must have been new, but come to find out she had been there a while...Makes ya wonder??? Who is running this office, I saw what looked to be dog hair in the room and people looking lost. I will not returning for another vist even though I have a lot of dental work to be done, they just seem very un-professional.....Like I said the only good thing about the place was Dr. Barr and the girl up front, the need better assistants that don't look sloppy and lost.

Although Dr. Barr seems to be a good dentist his upfront staff is very difficult. It seems they do very little to go out of their way to help. I'm not sure they know what "customer satisfaction4; is. I don't feel their prices are accurate (in the end I'm sure it will get worked out, but they over charged me). They charged me for things unknown that my insurance company said I should never have been charged for. Let's hope they reimburse me. Through this process the upfront staff has done the bare minimum. They seem to barely lift a finger or when they do it's with an unpleasant attitude. I think Dr. Barr needs to find knew people to work the front desk for him. Nobody wants to be greeted by difficult people who seem to take shortcuts. It's a shame too because I think Dr. Barr is probably a good dentist. His upfront staff however, seems in need of an attitude adjustment.

I went to the office of Dr. Robert Barr in Tallahassee because of an emergency. I
was in so much pain. Getting the first appointment was relatively easy, as I was a
new client with the potential of spending a considerable amount of money in
treatments. When the office realized that I was not going to be such patient, my
phone calls were not answered. They wouldn't even pick up, as the staff was
screening calls (this is not a paranoia, for when I called from a different number,
they did indeed pick up.) I must say that Dr. Barr is a very good dentist, as far
as his knowledge and practice are concerned. His staff, however, are unbelievably
rude. They do change their prices "a la tete du client" as they say in French,
meaning, if you do not look a certain way, they could give you a higher price, or
lower, depending on their mood. There is no need for mediocre staff to exercise
such power. Fortunately, in the age of the internet, clients have the ability to
express satisfaction or dissatifaction in a more immediate fashion. I do not want
such review to affect Dr. Barr's practice, since he is an able physician, however, I
would like for him to reconsider the way in which his staff is treating his
patients. In this economy, I don't think that any doctor can afford to loose his
patients.
Thanks for reading this review, and I hope that it will help.
