This doctor is the greatest, both technically and personally. He is a little odd in his speech (called me darling a few times) but this is because he has a big heart. He is a gifted physician and is extremely thorough. He is so busy and popular that he doesn't even list his telephone number anywhere! He saved the vision in my left eye due to a torn retina. He did a great job in lasering it so as to heal, but I will caution you, my two laser sessions were horrendously painful and I have a high tolerance for pain. They medicate you prior to the laser but not soon or strong enough. I don't take pain killers but told the doctor that I would never let him laser me again without a prescription medication. The laser room should have a sign on it "Torture Chamber" - but that would scare patients I suppose. Nonetheless, it is worth doing and he is worth the wait in the waiting room. He is an exceptional doctor.

Dr. Bahmanyar is an exceptional opthamologist. He truly enjoys his work and it shows in the quality of care provided to each patient.
He took me in as a new patient in an emergent situation. He got me in the day after my first contact with him and saved the eyesight in my right eye, which had a detached retina.
He is clearly well educated and experienced. He is also entertaining, though, his time with you is pretty short.
You may have to wait in the waiting room for a couple of hours, but the care is well worth it.

I had an eye injury and 3 surgeries in California last year. I needed a specialist to visit for an update exam, while here in Rockford.This Doctor is as good as you can expect but even more. His staff and team really know what to do and allow you to share your fear so they can help you. Thank you for taking the time to help me and to make my vision so much better.
