He reduced a couple dislocations for me but mainly I saw him for back issues in high school. Several other orthos had mentioned surgery, Scafuri was the one who found other options. I will always be grateful he did, many years later my back has held up (for the most part). He had a reputation as abrasive among his co workers but he was the best ortho I ever saw by quite a bit. He truly worked to avoid surgery at all costs and in hindsight he was absolutely correct to do so.
