I saw Dr. Graber with my first pregnancy, so I had no idea what to expect from my prenatal visits. Now that I have had time to reflect and have had another baby with another OB, let me tell you, there are far better OB's out there! I had a placenta that was near my cervix with my first pregnancy and Dr. Graber told me not to worry and that there was no need for restrictions. Needless to say, I woke up with severe bleeding before my due date due to my placenta being so low. I felt like he was careless and he should have taken better precautions. At the hospital, they induced me. When Dr. Graber came into the room to have me push, he decided he needed to vacuum the baby out because he said that her heart rate dropped. I'm not sure what we could have done differently, but I ended up with a THIRD degree tear. The nurses on the unit said they have never seen a third degree tear before my birth. After the delivery, I was in so much pain and could not even have a bowel movement without crying, so I had my husband get a stool softener. Dr. Graber never informed me of what to expect or that bowel movements would be so painful. Postpartum, he didn't do a complete physical exam and never checked my breasts. Also, my current OB told me that the way they stitched me was wrong. So scary.
