I was in an acute situation by the time i hooked up with Dr Valaitis and her team. We had hoped to avoid dialysis by changing some of my medication, but my counts were too low. we waitied one week and immediately scheduled me to go inpatient. Where i had my catheter put in along with 2 treatmetns of dialysis. i was doing very well and was allowed out early. We scheduled my outpatient to start the next week. I feel much better, and hopefully will be getting my pd catheter to start home PD dialysis in the next couple weeks (hopefully on my own before Thanksgiving). Dr. V and her partners have made the wait for transplant a much easier burden. I fell well taken care of and that someone is finally in my corner. Thank you
Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately. They never left me for an extended period of time and I never felt ignored. They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and comfortable during each appointment. They are one of the most welcoming offices I've ever visited. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily.
